Honestly, the only reason I’m giving 2 stars and not 1 is because our server Destinee was a pleasure. She was kind, made excellent recommendations and was the best part of the whole experience (except maybe the German Chocolate cake). The lack of attention from staff over all made the table feel like we were an after thought. They have a plethora of staff walking around checking water and drinks and it took them 15 minutes before someone checked on us, and it wasn’t one of these staff members it was Destinee the server. From my observation this is not the typical dining experience the tables around us were attended to with care from all staff. We were brought our drinks and we ordered a charcuterie board, when that arrived our dinner order was taken and from that point it was all down hill. My drink glass sat empty for 40 minutes while we waited for our salads (which never arrived). I watched staff pass and fill other glasses but not ours. I attempted to flag someone down but was ignored. Destinee noticed and brought me another drink. (This was not her fault it’s Friday they are busy and I can see why they would have multiple staff members checking on tables she had several tables and a large group) we received our food, main plates, no salad. I pointed this out to the man who brought our food and he asked “Do you want your salads?” Like it was an imposition for him to bring us the salads that came with our meals. I’m paying for the salad because it comes with my meal so yes I want the salad! They brought the salad out and it was sparse and thrown together with no care. Again our glasses were empty and we waited and waited. Again thank god for Destinee the only positive of the night. We ordered dessert reluctantly and watched again as all other tables received excellent care and attention. I don’t know if this was because We look young or what we are wearing or because we are Hispanic and Filipina but we came for a dining experience and felt incredibly let down. This was my first time dining here and I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this establishment, I would not recommend this place. The food was lack luster and the service (with the exception of one person) was awful. I’m very disappointed.
Edit: The same man who didn’t want to bring us Salads went to the table adjacent to us and said “we know you could dine anywhere, but we want you to dine here” clearly they do not want everyone dining in their...
Read moreWe arrived for happy hour about 5 minutes too early, so we stood in the entrance waiting to be seated. At 3:00, a party of five walked through the door, and they host immediately began to seat them. I said to the host, "hey did you forget about us?" (we were standing about a foot from him). He said, "oh, someone from the bar will help you. Just seat yourself." We were very confused, but we went and sat in the bar area. We watched about 7 employees completely ignore us as we sat there waiting for someone to acknowledge our existence. We were beginning to think we were invisible. We were two women alone and we started to wonder if we even mattered to this restaurant. Eventually I got up and asked a man behind the bar if someone was going to wait on us. I told him we were in a bit of a time crunch (remember, the restaurant was empty except for the part of 5). We watched as the part of 5 was waited on while we still sat there. Finally a man in jeans (maybe a manager?) said someone would be right with us. A young surly woman finally showed up. She acted like she didn't want to be there and certainly didn't want to be bothered waiting on us. We ordered the mac and cheese, the filet skewers, and the Kun Pao Prawns. The Prawns were "meh," the skewers were amazingly delicious, and the mac and cheese was lukewarm, almost tasteless and $8.50. We've been here before and very much enjoyed it, which is why we came back. This time, however, was a horrible experience. To top it off, it was our anniversary. We really had a horrible time. Usually, if the food is mediocre but the service is great, I am ok. If the food is mediocre and the staff treats you like you don't exist, I get upset and write reviews like this. I would avoid this place until they get their s* together. Two stars only because the filet skewers were so good; if I hadn't have ordered that dish, it definitely would have been a one...
Read moreWe went for dinner, reserved for 5:15. We stood in the entryway for a few minutes and nobody acknowledged us until the hostess came over and sat us. Our server was great. The problem (which isnt a problem just not what we expected)...It was loud. Like we had to really raise our voices to talk to people at our own table. Hearing the taco of the day we had to ask our waiter to repeat himself a couple times.
Again, this isn't a bad thing, just our experience and something to be aware of. We will come back, just not with 3 over 50's where that just wasn't their vibe.
We ordered calamari and mac-n-cheese. The calamari was very good, the mac was good, but they advertised a breadcrumb crust and it really didnt have much. Still good, but I like a crust and didnt really get what I expected.
I got the prime rib. It was great! The jus was better but didnt get a lot of it. Didnt ask for more but I expect that they would have gave me more if asked. The loaded baked potatoes...or mashed potato...I am not sure what it was. It was in a very small bowl, like 3/4 of a cup, not a whole potate, but it wasnt mashed potatoe? Idk, it was a bit weird, Id probably ask to sub in fries. It was just okay and not as hot as I would have liked. Girlfriend got the yum-yum prawns and she really liked it. Two other people got a filet and a ribeye. The sides for the filet he sent back and said they were not ever warm. They apologized a lot, and returned promptly with I think a whole new plate and he said it was great. I didnt ask the others about their food (too loud). Our server was great though, knowledgeable and kind. I asked for a little dish of kimchi because my gf wanted to taste it straight (her prawns came with kimchi/bacon fried rice but didnt really taste much kimchi). He said of course, and brought some.
We will be coming back, but with a...
