So pleased that officials worked to save the old train station and repurpose it into an art center. The only thing I see missing is something to pull it all together and get more people interested. The SMART train is awesome. Yet under-utilized. The bus transit mall next door is also underutilized. These three need to be refurbished better, and connected with one another is some meaningful way. For example, itās a little bit of a trek to walk from the bus mall to the Visitors Center and adjacent art center. Why canāt people simply walk through the parking lot to the art center/visitors center from the bus mall? Why are the old buildings still not completely renovated? And why arenāt the public bathrooms better cleaned and cared for? I hope that city planners and officials keep in focus that spaces such as these must be maintained. And that the SMART train is a step forward...
