Station Pizza — Restaurant in Philadelphia

July 24 2024 Well, all good things must come to an end unfortunately.

My last 3 trips eating at this spot have been awful. The girls at the front are different than before. Straight up disrespectful even. The staff used to be polite and somewhat happy. It's a hot building / environment so id expect a bit of attitude every now and then. But, last 3 times the girls just seem to hate tips or something. I always tip well even when picking food up or dining in, it's not required and usually makes people smile. The bigger girl even gave me 1 year expired chips that I didn't want or order. Guess that's how much they appreciated my tips. I'm telling you, Those two particular staff are never getting another penny out of me for tips.

As if that wasn't enough to cause a bad review, The food has taken a serious fall off a cliff. So much unchewable gristle in the steak they must have switched suppliers within the last 8 or 9 months. Either that or you made the supplier angry. They're giving you the worst cuts.

At this point I don't see a reason to go back. Good luck to the owner.

If I were in the owner's position id figure out what's going on with the food quality ASAP - Take a good step back and really get a good grasp on where your quality is at and then sort those girls out. I don't know what's going on with them but its staining your business reputation. Either retrain them, Figure out what's causing their disrespect, or swap 'em out. If you do nothing your business will tank. You've lost me as a regular and judging by the more recent reviews, your bottom line is showing it.

Original review November 2023 roughly. Best cheese steaks I've had the whole year, good amount of meat per dollar you pay, and extra meat gives what you'd expect without costing a fortune. The meat is fresh and juicy without making a massive mess, only had two overdone steaks the past 40 or so visits. The staff carve away the bread so you're not fighting with your food the whole time and they lightly toast the rolls(perfection). Always get extra cheese though, they never put enough. Friendly staff always welcoming and pleasant. Large parking lot, and last but not least they have places to sit inside and eat. I'd add photos but I already devoured it all. I recommended this place to my brother and he had a HORRIBLE experience tonight. He ordered a hoagie and pizza fries and the lady was rushing to take his order (she was on speaker so I heard her). He paid with a card and was told it would be an hour. After the time elapsed he contacted the store and was told the driver called 4 times, left a voicemail, and rang the bell. That's a LIE considering there are no missed calls and no door bell rang (it's quiet here and we have an intercom). They also told him the driver was out there for 20 minutes. Really? During COVID-19? No drivers wait that long. My brother had to ask several questions to confirm he would be refunded but they couldn't even give him a time frame. They were rude, unprofessional, and kept passing him to different people. He will be calling the bank tomorrow to make sure he gets his money back. It's a shame because we're making it a point to support small businesses in the current climate. I understand the place can be busy at times, but there is a certain level of decency and respect, that as a business owner / owner of a restaurant establishment that you should and force. the delivery time is always extremely long, over an hour and I live less than 3 mi from the place. the women answer the phone are ignorant, and that's an understatement. it is even worse when you go there in person. and it's ashamed, because the food is actually decent. It's a shame they're horrible customer service and service in general change the entire experience at the point where I want it recommend station to anyone anymore. I even still attempted to make small talk with the delivery driver because I was giving him like a 40% tip which I would be grateful for , and he cut me off mid sentence after he got the money and walked away and got in his car and drove right off. I felt stupid and although my experience was not good I understand business and things get stressful, even giving them the benefit of the doubt I still felt disrespected.
