I want to like this place, but the woman at the front makes it impossible. I live close by so I like to order take out some mornings when there's nothing in the house. I ordered a pork roll sandwich thinking it would be around $5 like it had been before they closed for the fire. This woman, without telling me over the phone, added homefries saying they come together, and then charged me over $10. They normally charge $3+ for a side of pork roll and $.65 for a long roll. So because she apparently deemed that not worth her time or because takeout doesn't help the servers(no idea the real reason...I'm guessing here)she decided to contrive a way to inflate my bill. The only thing she achieved was convincing me to never go back again. Absolutely no common sense. She could've had an easy sale probably once a week on an order that takes 2 mins to make, but instead she lost a customer for life. Congrats, I hope the extra $5 you squeezed out of me was...

I have been to Andonios 6 times in the past year. Once I was waiting to pay my check and at the counter and there was a man eating a Prime Rib dinner and it looked GREAT! I ordered that meal twice and it also was large and meaty without a bone and perfectly cooked. I brought my friend there to have the same meal, after I bragged about it, yesterday 09/12/18 at 4:45 pm. My friends Prime Rib was very small but mine was a disgrace. The bone was bigger than the actual meat that could be eaten and too much fat. I told the server that I never seen BONE THIS BIG on a piece Prime Rib . She said it comes that way some times. I blame the person that placed that piece of meat on my plate in the kitchen and the server that brought it out to me, a customer. I'm going to go back and order it again and this time I'm going to take a picture if the piece is garbage again and post it on Social Media and I will never go...

i just went for breakfast again 1st time since they reopened. i was very surprised at how many people ( mostly retired) were there on a thursday at 9am! I immediatly was reminded of all the small diners that used to dominate NE philly in the past generations yet are now fading away. Andonios Diner had very nice waitresses & staff, friendly crowd of good local people who all seemed to be happy to chat amongst each other and food that was reasonablely priced! its a charming little throw back to the lost diners that once were in every shopping center in NE philly! I only wish my mother & grandmother ( who recently both passed) were still here because this was the type place i would have taken them! However, instead Im planning to take one of my mothers emderly friends there for a nice breakfast out! And also look forward to trying the lunch or dinner that i hear is equally as good with my younger son...

I love diners. I love a real diner with that old look and feel. My favorite food is breakfast food. That being said, I know what I'm talking about. I'm a pancake connoisseur. If you need to put syrup on your pancakes, then their not really good pancakes. At Andonios, I don't put syrup on my pancakes! They melt in your mouth! The food is delicious, the coffee is hot and fresh, the wonderful people that work there are nice and respectful, and I feel like I stole something after I pay. You know why? Because the prices are a steal dang it!!! I just tip my waiter/waitress more. I approve of this legit DINER! Also, the Pic shows a partially eaten pancake, excuse the rudeness, but I couldn't wait. 😊

Not bad. Food was decent, better than most diners. Came out fast. Should be a 4 star but they have no organization when it come to there seating order. When you arrive they don't take a name and you just stand there in a group of people. Another big thing I noticed after sitting was that they are not being very covid safe. The menus are not cleaned between customer, waitresses just go from food to cash from customer to customer without even hand sanitizer between. Better to avoid during this pandemic.

Newly reopened under new ownership after two years of being closed, Andonio’s keeps its friendly neighborhood vibe but adds a fresh, updated, modern diner look and feel. Much of the original staff has returned, and the new owners were key employees from before it closed, so most of our favorite menu items are back 👍 Prices have gone up from the previous menu, of course (what hasn’t 🙁), but they still seem fair based on other area restaurants and portion sizes are generous.
