Bella Angel Hair & Makeup — Local services in Philadelphia

While I love my stylist and was hopeful that Bella Angel would be a good vendor for my wedding day, in the days before my wedding I can only describe the way I was treated by the Beauty Director as "nickel and diming," and all of the little fees are really starting to add up - as well as the inconveniences of being called and harassed for petty fees while I am putting the final touches on my wedding. A week before my wedding, I saw that the weather would likely be pretty bad on my wedding day and asked if I could pay my stylist to stay for touch-ups. They responded by instituting a new requirement that I can only pay by credit card or debit card, and that both types of payment incur a 3.5% "convenience" fee. I agreed to this, even though I thought the fee was petty as I am already paying thousands of dollars. Three days before my wedding, they started calling me nonstop to say that they never charged my card because they now want to add an arbitrary $25 parking fee for my stylist to stay, on top of which they also require this 3.5% convenience fee. I am happy to pay for parking if it is necessary, but the stylist's parking was already paid for! And besides, the contract stated that I was not required to pay any charge via credit card and incur any fee. Credit cards are listed as an option in our contract, not a requirement. I am in disbelief. I am really scared they are going to ruin my wedding day with their harassing calls and demands for petty fees. I am disappointed in this company.

I also want to warn brides that if you try to complain that Bella Angel isn’t abiding by the terms of its own contract, be prepared to be harassed by them up until the last hours before your wedding. This company is simply a nightmare for any bride.

Bella Angel was incredibly responsive in the months leading up to the date, and made sure to get every detail right. The team was very professional, arrived on time, and overall just helped the day run seamlessly without being overbearing.

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! We got many compliments throughout the day on how good the girls looked. The makeup looked individual to each girl and worked with each maid's coloring, while the overall look felt cohesive and complimented the wedding color scheme. I'm personally pretty sensitive to many cosmetics and hairsprays, even the hypoallergenic brands, and the Bella Angel team really listened to me and worked with me on that.

My (the bride) makeup and hair was flawless. My husband was blown out of the water during the first look. And throughout the entire day, I got SO MANY compliments on how beautiful I looked and how stunning the hair and makeup were. The team accomplished the "ethereal fairy princess" look so well. Tanya executed the dramatic eye with dark lip I wanted perfectly - it's such a hard look to accomplish without looking like stage makeup, and it was flawless. The flowers in the hair with the texture and twisted tendrils were so ethereal and I felt like a princess, thank you so much Shannon, I don't know how you did it, but they stayed perfect the entire night!

I used Bella Angel for hair/makeup services for my wedding at the end of October 2022. Sue was extremely responsive answering all my questions in the months leading up to the date, mostly through emails, but even jumping on a call when needed!! My preview session with Jackie and Katie was held at the Cherry Hill location, which was convenient since it had a parking lot. I found the preview session (which I was initially hesitant about doing) very helpful since I was able to test out the hairstyle I was considering as well as my makeup and lashes. It was a good trial run where I was able to give my input and request any changes etc and, at the end of the session, I was extremely happy with how my hair and makeup turned out. This helped put my mind at ease for how things would go on my wedding day.

On the day of my wedding, Katie and Jackie arrived on time, were very professional, and did an amazing job getting hair and makeup done for everyone, including a couple of extra people for makeup. Jackie did my hair exactly as she had done during the preview session, which was a replication of a photo I had shown her. She even placed my tikka on perfectly. Katie also did an excellent job on my makeup, and it looked exactly the way we had practiced during the preview session.
