During my recent sojourn to the city, I had the distinct pleasure of visiting their café located at 1516 N 5th St, Suite #126, Philadelphia, PA 19122.

Upon crossing the threshold, I was immediately embraced by the café’s warm and inviting ambiance. The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans wafted through the air, creating an atmosphere that felt akin to a cozy embrace on a brisk autumn day. The décor, a harmonious blend of modern aesthetics and rustic charm, featured exposed brick walls adorned with artwork by local artists, reflecting the establishment’s deep-rooted connection to the community.

The menu presented a delightful array of options, ranging from classic espresso-based drinks to innovative seasonal specialties. After much contemplation, I settled on the “Dulce de Leche Latte,” a beverage that promised a symphony of flavors. This exquisite concoction blended rich espresso with velvety dulce de leche sauce, topped with caramel cold foam and a delicate sprinkle of cinnamon. With each sip, I was transported to a realm of pure bliss, the harmonious balance of sweetness and robust coffee notes dancing on my palate.

In addition to their exceptional coffee, Bean2Bean offers an assortment of culinary delights. The “Bacon, Egg, and Cheese” sandwich, served on a freshly baked brioche bun, caught my eye. The combination of crispy applewood smoked bacon, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cooper sharp cheese created a melody of flavors that was both comforting and indulgent.

Bean2Bean Café is the ultimate hot spot. Bean2Bean is a great place to mellow out and enjoy a cup of coffee of your choosing. Whether you prefer iced, cold brew, piping hot, a latte or espresso the options and flavors are endless and delicious. If you think Bean2Bean is only a coffee joint think again! Bean2Bean Café has an abundance of the sweetest sweets to offer from marvelous muffins, cookies, cakes, croissants, and other specialty pastries. The menu at Bean2Bean Café is ever changing from the food to the chefs therefore you are always in for a delightful surprise! But wait there is more! I have to mention the open space with high ceilings which are encased with windows which allow for natural light to cascade through the room encasing you in a warm natural glow paired with green palm trees lining the seating area therefore creating the perfect spot to enjoy a coffee and snack. The Bean2Bean merch is a must have from unique t-shirts, hats, cups and mugs you aren't styling if you aren't profiling with Bean2Bean gear! The staff are fabulously chill but fired up with caffeinated energy and are the most welcoming. I recently went to Bean2Bean Café and enjoyed a raspberry chocolate iced coffee with cold foam and paired it with the vegan matcha pancakes, empanadas, a chocolate chip cookie and an everything bagel toasted with butter (safe to say I was hungry and I wanted to sample a little of everything). I now have a constant hankering for the vegan matcha pancakes, empanadas, chocolate chip cookie and everything bagel (safe to say I didn't like the food I LOVED IT)! Bean2bean has always had a great cup of coffee, but they have really stepped it up with the cafe experience. Inside Billy Penn, the cafe has its own quiet corner with plenty of places to sit that feel like a lounge or a personal workspace. The cafe has a wide variety of items from pastries and bagels to full breakfast/lunch menu items with a rotating specials menu. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items to provide descriptions or alterations. Jonathan who works behind the counter has become one of my favorite people to see, and he is able to explain any vegan/vegetarian options and provide guidance as well as provide recommendations based on his favorite coffee orders.
