Came for a day trip, the building is nice, definitely well cared for, pretty clean. Nicely ventilated with the open from garage door and aesthetically pleasing. TONS of wall styles, was a huge fan of that. One of our biggest issues was the grading felt...inconsistent? Some problems labelled 2-4 barely felt like 1s, some 2-4 felt like 5s. It was almost as if each setter did their own thing without test running each others problems. Could have just been that setting but as a guest, it was peculiar.
The problem were decent though it did feel like it was missing...something. Theres so much blank space I'd have loved to see more unique problems (roof traverse across from your moonboards? So much potential) but I chalked that up to the fact that they still had a competition set up.
Also location kinda was a bummer for us. We drove a bit over and hour and when we got there we realized the gym itself is gorgeous, but its really not in the best part of town, and parking is EXTREMELY limited so we had to park a bit further than we'd have liked given the area.
All in all it's a beautiful gym, but a combo situation means we likely won't be taking a day trip here...
Read moreI’ve been here I would say about ten times now. I love this place more than anything. The staff is always super friendly, even all the other climbers are really nice too. The rock climbing is all bouldering, so if you’re looking to be strapped into a harness this isn’t the place for you haha. The wall might seem intimidating at first, and learning how to fall is a little nerve racking and can be hard to get used to, but it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life. This place is good for beginners, intermediate climbers, and expert climbers. It’s a great workout for anyone no matter the size. I’ve brought people big and small here, and they always have a blast. It’s a full body workout so be prepared to work muscles you didn’t even know you had lmao. They even have a little gym section in the back if you wanted to workout at anytime during your climb. This place is also very LGBTQ friendly, I’ve met some awesome people here. If you get too tired during your climb, they also have a...
Read moreCame here today for the first time after meaning to check it out for a while, & had a blast! I'm a member of a different climbing gym, which I love, but every so often I like to check out different gyms I haven't been to for a little extra variety. This was well worth the day pass, which was reasonably priced. I really have to hand it to the route setters there, the problems were really interesting, & super fun! I actually found myself really enjoying the more static slab walls, which normally aren't my favorite style, more so than usual, & the area with the steep roofs & overhangs was especially fantastic & fun. They have a small fitness area, but it's more than enough for cross training for climbing or not, & I know it's a small thing, but I really appreciated that they had a sink right in the main area of the gym so you could wash your hands without having to go to the restroom. It was also really easy to get to via public transportation. I definitely...
