I went to Fairmount nails thinking it was perfect because it was nearby and relatively cheap. $23 for a full set. I understood this would not be as extensive of a manicure that I am used to due to pricing but I did not expect them to be so bad. It started off with her shaping my nails, I asked for oval. She shaped them into what I can only describe to you as coffin with a flat end. Kind of like a rain drop. I said this is not oval. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and she said that’s round. I said whatever it is, I did not ask for them to be pointy at the end. She tried to fix them but cut the tips so short there was not enough nail to reshape. In addition to this, she did not maintenance my cuticles or hands or anything. I didn’t expect a full blow massage and hot towel but at least trim my cuticles ??? She did not. I also have a torn cuticle that is very tender right now and she was not gentle with it at all. All of this was awful but I thought maybe she’ll at least give me a little massage while I dry my nails. She did not. All she did was glue tips on, add acrylic and then filed everything down and caused my cuticle pain. I haven’t gotten a manicure in over a year and this was extremely disappointing. I will not...

After reading the reviews, I thought it was just me! Ok so other people have seen what I have seen. I want to say that I have been to this salon a few times- and I have never had so many broken nails in a month in my life! I think their nail designs are very nice, but the customer service does suck pretty bad!

I am not satisfied with the work once I leave Bec of course they look pretty under their lights- u get home and omg u see all kinds of flaws- between lumpy nails to the fact that I'm not all cut up around my cuticles! My nailist in another state had been growing my nails out and just applying gel on top- now as a result of being here I have 3 fake nails Bec everytime I get a refill before I come.back a nail is broken! I'm really not sure why this is happening, unless they have cheap nail products or they're filing the nail too low and not applying enough product..

I watch them very closely and I don't believe they want to service ALL customers! I have sat for 2 hours and that's Bec I had to have nails repaired! So needless to say, I won't be going back. I tried to like them for convience purposes, but clearly I've wasted enough...

Got a gel manicure Monday (6/30) and by Friday (7/4), one nail had fallen off and two were lifting. I’ve had dozens of gel manicures and this has never happened. I also waited over 30 minutes despite having an appointment, and noticed flaws in the chrome (which I paid extra for) and gel on my cuticles after the appointment. There was no price transparency and I paid far more than expected.

When I called to request a refund, the manager Anna refused and insisted she had to see in person, despite the fact I explained I live 30 minutes away. I made the trip to return in person, and again she offered only a fix or voucher (neither of which I wanted given the poor service and quality) Another customer, witnessed the situation and insisted on paying me back herself, in cash, from her wallet. Anna saw and allowed it, continuing to refuse me a refund from the store. Completely unprofessional and bizarre experience. Avoid this place at all costs. Anna...

This was my first time using fairmount nails and I was not disappointed. Despite the negative reviews, I can honestly say I loved the way my nails.came out. I got a gel pedicure which came.out great and then I got a dip powder manicure with tips. I have tried other nail salon in the areas for dip manicure and alot have no idea what they are doing but this place does or at least Rachel who did mine does. I'm very happy with how they came out! I would recommend especially if looking for a dip manicure.
