Have been seeing this place for a few years now and, instead of us going to our normal choice of Urban, we decided to finally give this place a try. We went on a Tuesday night and it was overcrowded but wasn't empty either - there were a good number of people there for dinner. We initially sat outside since it was a nice night, but moved in since it started drizzling and we didn't want to get caught in any more rain if it came down.

We expected inside to be bigger than it was, but it did have a good number of tables and bar seating. The lighting and decor were nice - have like modern, chic nautical feels. For you meal we shared the Mozzarella Sticks as an app, he got the Fish and Chips while I went with the Chicken Sandwich with the Pier sauce. The waitress said the sauce was like Chick-fil-A sauce and I thought she was making a loose comparison but, honestly, it really did taste like Chick-fil-A sauce but slightly more rich in flavor. And as someone who doesn't prefer fries, these were delicious! My boyfriend said he really enjoyed his meal as well. Truly enjoyed the drinks and appreciate the nice pours of tequila shots.

Glad we finally have this place a try. Recommend checking em out and, because it's close to us, sure we will...

Well welcome back to the neighborhood I guess…. I am very familiar with the Fairmount area. Lived there years ago. About a year ago I moved back. Have been frequenting the bars with no issues until tonight. My boyfriend and I came to have a drink at Pier bar. We were greeted when we walked in by someone standing near the door, really nice guy. We sat down at the bar and the bartender did not acknowledge us at all. No hi, I’ll be right with you, nothing. I thought maybe he was just busy or had previous orders but when a white gentleman sat down 2 seats down from us he greeted him with conversation and menus. It was at that moment my boyfriend said “what’s up man you saw us sitting here” at that point I said let’s just go. The mood was off. We’ve been to Pier bar before and received great service. We tip well and spend a good amount of money. It’s a shame one person ruins your experience. We did not get the gentleman’s name but he was the bartender 3/22/2025 on...

I met some girlfriends for happy hour and then got dinner with my partner after. It was a great atmosphere with well priced happy hour deals. The ricotta toast was the same portion for the happy hour price that it was at the regular dinner price, which was nice to see. I hate when places run happy hour deals that are just smaller portions and not actual deals. They will also make any of their cocktails as mocktails for a reduced price, which I appreciate. I got the fish tacos and my partner got the fried chicken sandwich. Both were good, and notably the fries were much better than the fries at IOS even though it is the same owners that run both...

Man oh man talk about leaving a bad first impression. We walked into a half empty bar. Still it was at least 10 minutes before we were acknowledged. I mean really how hard can 'hi I'll be right with you' be? We weren't the only ones. The person who sat next to us at the same time just got up and left. When we finally did get the barkeep's attention I ordered a martini up with a twist. I got an unchilled drink without a twist. Maybe the barkeep was just having a bad day. In their defense the barkeep was friendly and food was prompt and delicious. It's a beautiful spot and the food was great. I'll give it another chance.
