I’ve lived in the area for about 5 years and love eating out, so I was excited to see the new restobar on Corinthian and Fairmount.
My husband and I popped in no reservation and were seated at a high top. The high top seats are super comfy so we were very happy with our spot.
We just made it in time for happy hour, so we threw in some drinks and apps. I got the vanilla vodka cocktail and really enjoyed it, it felt nostalgic. My husband got the bacon infused bourbon cocktail, since he’s on his burbon kick, and he liked his as well. We did one of each of the dips. They give you plenty of pita and even offered more (which I love). All the dips were super tasty. Both our favorites was the caviar dip, but don’t sleep on the tatziki and spicy feta. We also got the lemon potatoes. I’m really not normally a potato gal but these were perfectly seasoned, cooked, and delicious.
We then decided to get the lamb and beef gyro. It comes on a big board with fries, tatziki (with extra pita for dipping), salads, onions, and tomato WITH a large pita topped with super yummy meat. I made little meat stacks with the small pita and my husband used the big pita. It was perfect for sharing and delicious.
At this point everything was so good we had to try dessert. So we got the orange cake, I tend to think the first item on dessert menu is the best, and I was not disappointed. It was moist and crumbly and loaded with flavor that perfectly paired with a scoop of icecream.
We also got one more drink. I got the tequila sour which was great and foamy which is usually my go to. My husband got a Hefeweizen beer off tap and he immediately said “this tastes like Europe its so refreshing”. He said it was the best beer he’s had in the area.
Overall we left feeling very full, satisifed, and like we gotta go back. Especially considering we passed a table with a feta spinach pastry and fried calamari that both looked and smelled delicious.
Anywhere you sit in the place you can see a tv. So this would be a great place to watch a game and enjoy delicious food and drinks. Or a lovely date or to catch up...
Read moreI didn't know or realize this was here until I was going to lunch with someone and they suggested this place. It's in the spot where "Fare" used to be, so I didn't realize it switched. But glad she suggested coming here as I got to try a new place in the neighborhood. Got there right before noon on a Monday, so had my pick for seating options. By the time we left, the places has filled up a bit more. The place has a clean, bright airy feel with lighting that would probably give a sleek, modern bar vibe. Our server was good - friendly, sweet demeanor, attentive.
We ordered our own things, but kind of ended up sharing a couple of the items. I wasn't super hungry, so I just ordered the Hummus spread which came with pita and the Calamari with a ginger ale. My friend got the Chicken Platter and Spanakopita. We both didn't expect the platter to have as much food as it did for the lunch menu - it was a hefty serving! So I ended up eating some to help her out lol. Everything was pretty good taste wise and good portion sizes, as mentioned before.
I would come here again to try some other options and see if they have a happy hour given the nice vibe of...
Read moreWanted to try this new Greek restaurant out, looked good but definitely not worth the hype. Food really is sub-average. We got 1 of every HH item and only thing that was worth wild was the Feta dip. The chicken skewers were over cooked, and they had unseasoned cut up tomato/onion. Humus also was average really didn’t taste any better than store bought hummus. They unfortunately were not serving the meatballs for whatever reason. Service was also sub-average place was empty but took 25+mins for drinks. The fried zucchini/eggplant was essentially pure breading which tasted like oil without any seasoning. Wine is decently priced at $8 a cup. Besides the feta dip all else was sub-average. Had high hopes but was let down with...
