Did well on my hair but I questioned their integrity on prices so didn't go back.
First time I tried them I showed up maybe 10 min after they opened. No one was there except the young lady who cleaned and couldn't speak English. I used google translate to show her that I just wanted to watch blow dry and straighten. I asked her how much. She called the owner and the owner told me over the phone a price if i had longer hair. I told her it wasnt long, a little past shoulder length. I thought the price was too high for dominican salons but I said sure let's see if its something different. I paid i tipped nicely.
Called before I returned next time told them I needed the same service. $20 less than they charged the firsy time. Add a trim that brought me to the same total.
Die over $20? No. But once she got to the salon and realized my hair wasn't long like I said she could've corrected the price. By the time I tipped i paid about 85 for the a typical wash blow dry and straighten.
I have a hard time going to places where prices aren't listed. Again, kind people, did the job fine, but let's also be consistent...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have been going to Mariaās on and off for years, only going to other stylist due to location and longer hours of service. After going to my previous stylist and having a really bad experience, resulting in severe hair damage, I decided to go back to Mariaās. I went 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday for a wash, deep conditioning, roller set, trim, and pin curl all for under $40. The shampoo girl was extremely gentle with combing my thick natural curly hair, using the right combs, which was a plus. The hair stylist was also amazing, listening to exactly what I wanted and accomplishing the look that I was going for. I received so many compliments on my hair and my boo loved it! I will be going to Mariaās from now on and look forward to seeing my hair 100% healthy again. If you are looking to try this salon, please do. You wonāt be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent here to get my hair done because they opened earlier than everyone else, plus I was no where near my normal shop. Got my hair washed and the lady had long gloves on so my face was constantly getting shampoo dripped on it, then when I was asked if I wanted my hair roller set and said no, was told that itās an extra $5 to blow dry my hair.....isnāt that apart of washing and drying??? But i was still set under the dryer, just with my hair all over the place. No complaints on my hair itself. It was pin curled, but started raining before i left...wasnāt even offered a shower cap. I usually tip both stylist and shampoo girl but that additional charge for doing the basic of hair washing just irked me a bit. Iāll stick to what I know...
