Lengthy, but detailed/truthful review!

I am extremely scared of heights and flying...like I don't even go on planes. I decided to buy my boyfriend a Hot Air Balloon ride for his birthday and he decided he wanted me to go with him, so I reluctantly did.

Our first try wasn't a success. We drove out to the take off area, but the weather wasn't on our side and after Taylor and his crew assessed the wind multiple times, he decided that it wasn't safe for us to fly, so he decided to cancel our flight, which I very much appreciate rather than flying in unsafe weather.

We decided to reschedule our flight and the second time around the weather was perfect for our flight. We had no problems and our flight was amazing. I was nervous at take off, but our pilot, Andy and his crew, did a great job from start to finish, explaining the whole process. I loved how he knew alot about the area we were flying over and the history of it.

We got to fly for about an hour in the air before we were told we were going to start landing. While in the air, Andy gave us a brief explanation of how we need to squat down when our basket lands. (Not as bad as I thought it was going to be haha)

After landing we had Champagne, crackers, cheese and meats and watched the sunset set.

We then paid for our remaining balances that we owed for our tickets. My party had originally had 5 people, which dwindled down to 4, then eventually landed on 3, so I ended up being over charged after my down payment that I originally paid for my first canceled flight. I was quickly called by Taylor a couple hours later and got the situation solved, but I understood that with the circumstances, that this could have easily happened.

All in all, I would highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to fly in a hot...

Traveled to Arizona with my sister for her birthday 🎉 My experience with Arizona Balloons was 1000/10. Before the ride, I received a call on the morning of @ about 5:35AM to check my ETA.. Our ride didn’t depart until 5:45 but I loved the concern to ensure all riders were in route or close by. Taylor was fast, effective, fun and had great hospitality. You can tell he loves what he does.. He pointed out some great things along the way. The view is absolutely amazing! We got to see a donkey and rabbit as we were flying over. The sunrise was most beautiful! I would definitely recommend a top of the morning ride! The landing was just as described, a little rough but our instructor made sure that we were well prepared for it so it went a lot smoother! As we brought things to close, there was a table set up with champagne and we were able to take more pictures as they wrapped things up with the Hot Air balloon. Arizona Balloons INC has an outstanding team working together and if I had to come back and fly again, I would do it all over again with them. I've stumbled for months now on how to put into words how awesome my trip with Arizona Balloons was. Communication with Taylor and crew was seamless start to finish, beginning the night before takeoff to confirm meeting locations, times, and expectations. A once-in-a-lifetime trip with Arizona Ballons is worth every penny, and my only regret is not booking sooner in order to book more often. I couldn't have asked for a better pilot, a more organized process, or a more delightful (and surprisingly affordable!) experience. You will NOT be disappointed with AB.

Protip: booking during a vacation? Book on the first day of your trip that you can. If you get rained out (not likely in AZ, but hey, it happens) this will give you more days to reschedule if necessary.

Don't put that bucket list trip off any more than you already have. Hot air balloon rides are one of the few luxuries in Phoenix that are surprisingly affordable. (You wont pay $400/person here like you will in the midwest). Take off with Taylor and Arizona Ballons for the experience...
