I am so sick of these restaurant franchise owners, letting youngsters run their stores these inexperienced individuals that are so green behind the ear. They don’t possess the necessary common sensor logic to be hospitable to be friendly to be approachable to go above and beyond to understand how to satisfy a guest. I am so over it, whether it’s a lack of training, lack of labor dollars or lack of attention or lack of the owner operator wanting to be involved in their own business to ensure its own success. I have been food and beverage almost my entire life. I am 46 years old and currently run a very large restaurant and beverage facility. Tonight I came through the drive-through I ordered I had to wait. I waited for 18 minutes at the speaker where they helped only one car in front of me and we’re only taking one order at the time at a time at the speaker. I ordered $22 worth of product. I even sold my items bought an additional sauce and added one of their exclusive ice cream items. I just eat my car and not go inside because this area is Full of vagrants and homeless people and it’s kind of unsafe plus this store has a dirty lobby most of the time and the trashes are typically overflowing so I chose to sit in the parking lot in front of the store and eat my food so I could watch TV and eat in peace. after I finish my food, I went back inside to see if I could have a refill of my large Dr Pepper in which I was told no because I was a drive-through customer and I had left the store and I left the lobby. It was rather upsetting the individual who spoke to me really didn’t know how to address it or didn’t know what to say. Yes this might be the policy or the rule, but I was not one of the people they’re typically used to dealing with as a customer. I had spent a significant amount of money in their food as a leader of a manager you should just help the customer we all know that all the employees and restaurants typically drink most of the soda, free all the time, including myself. It wouldn’t have hurt you to go out of the way to give me a refill on my soda. It’s rather upsetting. I’m very tired of people putting people in leadership and management roles that don’t have decisive and good decision making skills or the necessary leadership qualities in order to run a shift successfully. What does it matter to you if you give a customer another drink when you drink for free your entire shift? Not only that I’m on a budget right now and I really didn’t wanna spend money on food, but I did and I didn’t tell you that the food was really of a poor quality. My ice cream was sloppily made. It was only a half a cup full of ice cream. I don’t know how you even charge eight dollars for that when it’s not even full my chicken strips were cold and stale. The bread was not even crisp. My french fries were cold and soggy, my Texas toast was wet and soggy, and my gravy was lukewarm, and it was all crudded up because it was not at the temperature it needed to be. All I want was a drink for refill. I didn’t even wanna complain about my food. I ate it anyway even though I played like almost $23 for everything. It’s ridiculous what you get nowadays for your penny and it’s even more ridiculous. What you get after you pay for you never get satisfaction or good service. After the fact, everybody just wants your money and once they have it, they don’t care what you have or what you’ve done or what happened Not even when running their own stores to try to continue satisfying the guest to try to ensure that customers will come back, try to ensure residual dollars in the business these are things that youngsters don’t understand at all and never will. That’s why they shouldn’t be in charge of running a business like this. I will never go back here. Unfortunately Dairy Queen is something. It’s true to my heart and I really love it was my first job in life and it was my first management position at 15 1/2 so if anybody reads this, they think of this guy is a jerk. No, I’ve actually literally been there and done...
Read moreSmall store, always seems hot (especially for an Ice Cream shop), they are in absolutely NO rush what-so-ever, so be prepared for a long wait even if you are the second person in line (heck or the person being helped at the counter). They told me that it's because they are using an antiquated Point of Sale system and their credit card machine still uses dial up to process transactions & is a painfully slow process. This store also seems to be grossly understaffed at all times. I live in the neighborhood & go there often & it's always the same story. A WORD OF CAUTION if you order an item such as their pretzels with melted cheese or gravy for their chicken tenders meal this store heats the cheese/gravy in a styrofoam container then pops a lid on it and sends it off to you to consume. I found out the hard way when my cheese had melted styrofoam in it, a partially collapsed dish with a hole burned through it, & cheese oozing out all over everything. Upon discovery I asked for new cheese in anything other than styrofoam and was informed that there was no alternate they cook and serve it in the foam styrofoam cups. Um hello DQ staff you have all kinds of paper cups, why can you not scoop the cheese out of the foam container and put it in the paper cup? I simply prefer not to have poisonous melted styrofoam floating around in my food and I really would prefer to not have to dip my pretzels in my cheese by scraping the inside of my bag containing my entire order is all. I'm really not trying to make trouble, I could be wrong, but isn't it just common sense to not consumer freaking styrofoam with or with cheese or gravy? I'm sure the gravy & cheese makes styrofoam no less dangerous to consume. Then when I gave it back to them and requested s refund it was an ordeal no one knew how to do a refund at first, then some lady came out and in about 2 seconds made the refund. The most baffling Please get it together in your store or I'll be forced to start avoiding this store & seeking out one that doesnt have your constant ridiculous issues that would be so simple to rectify * make your job so much easier. For instance, updated your freaking P.O.S. system & credit card readers for the sanity & consideration of your customers. The wait time at this store ANYTIME I have ever been is absolutely unacceptable in every way, even if there's only one person in front of you or if your at the counter being helped! You are grossly wasting each & every customers time daily. This very visit for instance while i was waiting I watched 5 people (not in the same party after waiting I don't know how long, they were there before me & I had been waiting 20 minutes at this point) who ended up leaving because of the wait time or lunch break expiring and one was a very hot & tired Mail Man simply seeking some relieve from the heat. Your losing revenue like this. Someone ends up leaving because of the wait everytime I'm here & there's never very many people waiting. What is the deal, your an ice cream shop & FAST food establishment (FAST being the key word here) not fine dining establishment. If it's due to a shortage on your staff, then quit being so cheap and hire a few more people for Gods sake this is really getting quite old and you WILL loose my families business and I'll be sure to tell all my friends and neighbors all about it as well. You've got to do something different that's all...
Read moreWe have been to this dairy queen probably 500 times (not good!!! but good!) over the past 20 years and there are few times that I remember having a friendly and accommodating person making my order but the last time was different. I wish I would have gotten his name because he was friendly and made sure our order was right... usually they do not make our blizzards right. we always order a large turtle pecan cluster with extra m&ms and extra hardening chocolate And another one the same except it is with no pecans. usually they argue over the fact that the mm don't come in the turtle pecan blizzard and we know that but we add double and then they usually don't get the extra chocolate we ask for and they usually don't have stuff at the bottom at it ends up just being vanilla ice cream. but THIS time... the gentleman was friendly and just asked if we knew there would be an extra charge for each additional item and we do know that and then he personally made one and told the other person (who was rude and kept staring us down) to make the one without pecans and the first thing she did was put pecans after the ice cream so he stopped her and said "that's ok I will make them cause we need to make sure one has no pecans and they get what they want". perfect on his end. the girl just shoved the one she was making in the garbage and said something under her breath. he made PERFECT blizzards, he didn't go overboard, and we got what we wanted and paid for. he made sure we knew which one was no pecans. when we go back , if he is there we will get his name because he deserves recognition for making the customer happy and sad to say that is rare these days. most of the time it is just rudeness and the reps acting like we inconvenience them by coming in...
