I remember checking this place out YEARS ago, we just randomly stopped by and we loved it. We just weren’t quite ready to add a bird to the family then.

We’ve been boarding a clients African Grey for a month along with her dog, and noticed that her beak and nails were in need of a trim, so her owner told us the place she usually goes so we could take her in, and says they’ve been using them for years and loves them. We called to see when we could get in, and apparently they take walk ins until 4:00, you just have to give them a call to say you’re coming in. They also knew Rudy just by name and were excited to have her come in. They were very quick and gentle with her, and she’s not a huge fan of handling by men due to a negative experience earlier in her life, but she stepped up for the guy working there like it was nothing! You could really tell his love for birds, and the fact that she trusted him even though he was grooming her (which she protested) told us a lot!

While we were waiting, an elderly woman parked and went to get her bird/bird cage out of her car, and one of the gentlemen that worked there ran outside to get the cage and help her in. We thought that was very sweet too.

We’ve also fallen in love with African Greys, and have been looking to add one to our family. The guy that worked with Rudy told us that he has an owner surrender of a young AG, and he’s going to give us a call when they get it. So we’re really excited about that!

Don't buy birds from this store!! I was sold 3 years old Quaker, charged a huge amount. Quaker bird had been abused, neglected, and destructive. First day, we got him late evening. It was running all over apartment, destroying. It chewed our couch. My son tried to calm it down, it started chewed my son's shirt. It chewed my shirt as well. The owner name Zachary who sold me this vicious bird for such a higher price. Normally at other pet store Quaker babies are for sale for $399.00. Zachary sold me this vicious bird for $435. At Tropical Exotic Bird store on Greenway had babies for $399 last year. This adult bird price is $300 everywhere. Bad thing Pratt's Pets, nor Tropical Exotic Birds had any as I always shop there.When I tried to talk to Zachary he refused to take it back. He sold his problem to us. Zachary told me that I can sell him online myself. Pratt's Pet Store have 3 locations, sells cheaper and tamed birds. I see all of you people who rated 5 star bought babies from him. Babies can be trained easily as they go their first home. November is a bad month to find any bird. I was looking for a bird companion for my Pineapple Green Cheek Conure. I also had a very beautiful, so innocent 5 months Indian Ringneck Parrot who died due to some kidney problem. My Conure felt alone, so everywhere we went we were taking Conure with us. This is a terrific place to take your feather babies for some TLC! Their grooming services are top-notch and a great deal when you see the love they give to their birds. My quaker parrot is put at ease by their kindness and swift ability to get his beak, nails, and feathers trimmed without any extra stress. They have a HUGE selection of toys, feeding bowls, and cages, as well as different bird seed, pellets, and snack/training treats. They always have a beautiful selection of young conures, parrotlets, love birds, parakets, quakers, and many more to choose from. The owners are a family from the valley and are very knowledgeable on all things bird.
