Very poor customer service from the staff. I’ve brought my dog here multiple times. Recently every time I show up there seems to be some issue or some miscommunication with the staff. I have no complaints with the veterinarian she’s great. My problem is with the new staff. I called yesterday 8/26 trying to refill my dogs medication for his pain and spoke to Paul he told me that he would need to call me back. Of course he never did. So I called back before they closed and spoke to Paul again he told me to hold on that he needs to speak to the pharmacist. Then he put the pharmacist on phone to inform me that I have to come in to get my dog looked at in order to refill his medication. I said ok and asked what the soonest availability they have. Then pharmacist informed me that today 8/27 at 5:15 was the soonest. I verify the time over the phone multiple times. The lady made it very clear that 5:15 was my appointment time. I arrive today 8/27 at 5:10 and was informed that my appointment was not at 5:15 that it was at 4:45. I explained that I spoke to the pharmacist yesterday 8/26 and she made it very clear that 5:15 was my appointment time. Then a girl by the name of Kelsey explain to me that she was the one that set up the schedule for me and that I was wrong. I explain to her that I verify the time with her multiple times and she made it very clear to me that 5:15 was my appointment. Then gave me an attitude like I was crazy to even think that she would make a mistake. No sorry nothing. Read moreI have been taking my ten rescue dogs to Desert Sky for over two years, and I have been happy with the service for the most part. Imagine, then, my surprise when I received a letter in November from Dr. Blackwell basically telling me to take my business elsewhere! Enclosed were all my dogs' records. The reason given was that "on numerous occasions you have indicated displeasure with either our services, prices, curbside car, or healthcare team." I can recall two occasions when I had had issues with the practice: one was a couple of years ago when I was sold a container of tablets that had broken down into dust and could not get any assurance that the next container I bought there had not done the same, and recently when I had a conversation with Dr. Roe where I questioned why I had to pay for my dog's blood test to be repeated within a few days because I wasn't told he needed to be fasting for his first appointment and I wasn't asked if he was. At that time I said I might need to find another vet because this practice offers no senior discount or multi-pet discount. I have needed to take my dogs somewhere else for dental cleanings and rabies vaccinations due to cost considerations, but I didn't make a big deal of that. Almost all businesses need to deal with customer service issues, but telling a client with ten dogs to go elsewhere without any discussion is not a rational or reasonable solution. Read moreI’ve waited about two and a half years to make this review , and it’s time . I took both of my dogs here , Chloe and Ace , and saw Dr Blackwell. I was told my smaller dog had a tooth infection causing an abscess , and that my bigger dogs tumor was benign and non cancerous . Three days after being aspirated by this clinic, my bigger dogs tumor got infected , and broke open on his chest. After years of having no issues with it . I took them both for a second opinion elsewhere and to have my smaller dogs infection taken care of . Only to be told , that both of my dogs had very obvious aggressive cancers . The “ abscess” was an obvious tumor I was told. Had I been told sooner, they could have been treated and had more time to fight . A vet who was actually committed to helping animals, treated both of my babies until their last days. I have called and spoken to desert sky when this all happened and was told they had similar complaints from other patients about Dr Blackwell. If they knew these problems, why did was this vet allowed to be in that took misdiagnosing my best friends ? I was also told that she’s been “ let go “ , although I don’t know how truthful they were . I want other people to read my experience and the heartbreak we endured because of the carelessness of this business .
