The register lines at this place are absolutely ridiculous and shows a total lack of care by the store and Bashas its owner. In fact I'd say just about all Bashas and Food City stores show major neglegence when it comes to having enough cashiers (especially during rush hours).
About to make short rant: I used to work management for Bashas and let me tell you they are unbelievable and totally out of touch with reality when it comes to budgeting hours to departments, notably cashiers and produce. This poorly run company spends time and energy rolling out and pushing over the top customer service programs that focus on so many things I know for a fact most customers could care less about, and I personally would not want employees to do constantly while I shop. Huge waste of time and energy and pointless in their under staffed stores. Why focus so much energy and money on customer service when you've already failed customers before they can even give customers service, by not having enough employees in the store or specifically, cashiers. All this BS they'd say about how cashiers are the most important when it comes to customer service because they're the last person they are in contact with before leaving, yet don't budget their registers with enough cashiers, making people wait a very long time (and in turn irritating them). They only get away with this more at Food City because of the clientel they appeal to with their Mexican brands and products, which they pretty much have no competition against. Like the whole American poor business ethics have shown, top earners in a company are never willing to take pay cuts or larger pay cuts in order to pay their employees and actually staff their businesses properly. It's really just a total lack of respect and shows they don't value you as a...
Read moreWhy is the bug spray in the same aisle as the baby food, diapers and baby wash?! Toddlers walk down this aisle! Adults know toddlers like to touch everything! The Environmental Protection Agency specifically states to store pesticides out of reach of children and pets, and to never store pesticides near food, animal feed, or medical supplies.
Another thing, it feels weird, frustrating and uncomfortable to not be able to order food in America because the person behind the counter doesnât speak English. I tried ordering one carne asada burrito for a friend and got two. Wouldnât have been a problem if I didnât have to pay for two. I was going to order myself something but with the complicated language barrier I said forget it. Had I known I was going to end up with two, I would have ordered one without beans since I ended up eating the extra one I paid for. I donât even like beans. They were sticking to my throat, they were so dry. Couldnât even taste any other...
Read moreCareful when shopping at this store! They scan one item more than once and don't void the second one. I have shopped many times at this store but not even sure I Want to come shopping here anymore! Some cashiers love talking too much instead of focusing on ringing up the food and merchandise correctly. Another thing that's really annoying is the cashier that recently rung up my purchase was asking me too many personal questions when I don't even know her at all, and vice versa. I guess They just hire anyone at this point because it's a Revolving door....I'm very disappointed and don't plan on coming back any time soon....if anything I'd drive to another Food City or just go to a Bashas! Had a Good Review in the past but removed it due to my bad experience in mid July, 2025. Oh and Please teach your cashiers that raw meat isn't to be bagged with raw vegetables or fruits. Where's the...
