NY Slicers Deli — Restaurant in Phoenix

First time here and I got a Rachel, basically a Reuben with coleslaw instead of sauerkraut. It was great. Seems that they might saute the pastrami a bit because it had a bit of crust on it that was quite nice. It came with a side of macaroni salad that was not very interesting. Quite bland and under-seasoned, I didn't bother taking more than a couple small bites. I also ordered their crumb cake because it looked delicious. It's basically a crumb topped coffee cake. It was decent but not great, a bit dry. I saved some of it for breakfast tomorrow since I couldn't eat it all after finishing the sandwich.

All in all I'm pretty happy I tried this place. Not a lot of good delis around here so I'm glad I found this one. I'll certainly go...

Hands down the best deli. The Boars Head Meat you can not beat and the staff are always a pleasure to see. NY Slicers is food and entertainment! From the fresh bread, veggies, Boars Head cheese, the food your taste buds will drool over. The sides are always fresh, how they manage to get watermelon and other fruits and vegetables fresh every day is awesome and lets not get started on the COOKIES and brownies. From the great food to the employees joking and having fun with customers, you can not go wrong. The employees get to know their customers which goes hand in hand with their excellent service.

The food is great. Would have been nice to know that a cold sub was really cold! The veggies had ice on them, while the sub tasted great my teeth hurt because of the ice. The staff just took my order so she could get back to her tablet as soon as possible. Once I paid, she didn't even look up when I talked to her about my food. I arrived after the lunch rush, and because her tablet was more important, the tables were dirty. There are a few table and all of them dirty. A quick walk to clean would have taken 2 minutes! I may come back for a pickup order, but I will not eat in...
