Fraud - think twice before applying for credit card at this store. Very frustrating. I bought some items on 4/14/2022 at this store. As I checked out I was offered the usual discount if I apply for the Kohl's credit card. After several attempts to say no, I offered up that I don't want the inquiry showing on my credit. 2 different cashiers assured me that it is a "soft" hit on my credit and that it does not "affect" my credit. Further more, one of the cashiers added it's the good credit check, not the bad kind. I even joked that there isn't a "good" credit hit/inquiry and she joked "you know what I mean, the "soft" kind"! Needless to say the next day I received an alert on my credit that a hard inquiry was made to my credit. I called the store to no avail. Suffice to say management was very apologetic (and nice) but there was no offer of remedy other than for me to call the credit agencies and see if they would remove the inquiry myself. There was no offer of training or correcting employees either, until I assured them that I will be coming in the store over the next few months to make sure their people are properly trained and versed on what this means to people's credit! Update 4/15/22 Ref: Response from Owner. I will gladly send email with particulars but know I've already voiced and discussed complaint with Store supervisor and Store manager (Amy) to no avail. 5/5/22 Update: Email sent of 4/15/22 as requested with details. Read moreI can start by saying that there is one associate in the store that helped me 100% and I should have just stayed there in that section for the duration of my shopping! Only person in the store that spoke, made eye contact or anything.... Was a younger guy in men's dept! He's 10000% exactly what customer service is about and exactly who I would want in my store in the front around customers running things he made sure I watch the way he was folding everything it was perfect he knew every single type of Levi's. He knew where they were , how they fit.. the only good thing I bought that and whole night out of 700.00 with a shopping or the jeans that he helped me pick out for myself in the men's department absolutely perfect! Not one single person acknowledged my existence in the broad apartment the lingerie department the women's exercise Department the women's casual wear the teen casual wear the shoe department...... Not a single soul acknowledged my existence they were all talking amongst themselves saw me and turned around didn't even make eye contact! Ya! I actually was looking for two specific things that were actually quite pricey and I was willing to pay and I really needed them but they were so damn dismissive I decided I'd rather go without those two essential things and bite my tongue for 1 minute! Read moreTwice at this location now I have had an issue. First time the manager handled it. The lady at check out was new and decided yelling at me because I didn’t tell her I needed something out of the box with tablets/cameras was necessary in front of a ton of customers. Second time which was today… I bought my daughter a swimsuit. Didn’t fit. No biggie! Usually Kohls has the easiest return. Especially since I used my kohls credit card. Enter my number. They find it and good to go! Two new, older lady’s were behind the counter. First Lady was snippy but not as rude at the second lady. I told the 1st lady all I wanted to do was find a new one her size and replace it. 2nd lady wasn’t aware of this because she wasn’t helping me but she wouldn’t let me get a word in anyways. Manger came out to try and help, once again. But the lady decided to be disrespectful so I took my daughters swim suit and left.
