Loretta's Ahwatukee Jewelers — Local services in Phoenix

I rarely write reviews but I'm so disappointed with my experience here that I felt I had to. I came in for a simple battery replacement for my watch. I had a pleasant conversation with the woman who worked there (presumably Loretta) while the man quickly replaced my battery in the back of the store. Everything worked well and I left the store satisfied.

Fast forward several months and my watch suddenly started running very fast. I figured that it couldn't be the battery since I had it replaced only months before. Thinking that some part of the watch mechanism had broken, I brought it into a watch repair store. The owner opened it up right in front of me, looked at it for just a few seconds and asked me who had replaced the battery for me. It turns out that the man at Loretta's had used the wrong size battery. It didn't fit into the slot correctly. It was too thin and was able to move about freely within the slot. It's amazing that it worked for the few months that it did. He then put in the correct sized battery and it fit like a glove and my watch now works perfectly again.

I can't speak for Loretta's work with jewelry but I would stay clear of this store for anything having to do with watches. I would have no confidence that they could repair a watch given that they couldn't even do a simple battery...

I wish I had read all of these unsettling reviews before I told my wife of 20 years to take her wedding ring to get sized. Unfortunately we our son pick it up and once my wife saw she immediately knew that they had swapped out her 1 ct stone for a cheaper quality stone. We are extremely disgusted with this business and will be sharing our experience all over social media. I have facebook page with over 24000 fans and I will be sharing this robbery daily and on my personal page being that we are residence of Awhatukee. This sad and disappointing on so me levels that I am wondering why they are still...

I am shocked about all this negativity and alleged crookedness I am reading about Ahwatukee Jewelers. It’s very disturbing to me especially when I’ve used Loretta as my designer/jeweler going on 15 years! Not once have I been dissatisfied with any of my jewelry purchases, designs and repairs. Loretta has been in business for over 28 years and cannot believe that she would do anything illegal or immoral to jeopardize her business and good name.
