Every few months we come to buy new paints to support the small business and we spend a lot of money. Today we came and the employee was watching us on the cameras the whole time waiting for us do something wrong. My wife swatched one tube of paint on her hand, like everyone does to see if you like the color and to see the quality. The employee then brought her a napkin to wipe it off of her hand and said it makes them harder to sell when literally everyone does that and we were going to buy that tube of paint. The employee then proceeded to watch us on the camera while we were shopping. I get it, we work retail and we know there’s a type that may steal or something, but we’re most definitely not that type. Literally every other experience was a good one, I used to always look forward to our visits to Scrappy Craft but now after this we will look for another place to shop. If we weren’t supposed to swatch, put a sign saying so instead of being passive and stalking us on the camera when we’re trying to buy things...

Just came back from a wonderful couple of hours here. These folks have everything craft related and art related. Small locally owned store with helpful people and loads of ideas and inspiration. They also run a variety of craft and painting classes that you can sign up for. Calligraphy? - They have it. Water color classes - yep. Have a yen for scrapbooking - join their club. Want to make your own cards? - Theres a class for that too. A clutz at drawing? Learn new skills right here! You don't need to be an expert to start these classes. They will help you from a - z!! They adjoin an English horse riding store which has everything for your English riding needs from bridles to sweat shirts! These folks really know their stuff and are super helpful. I have been an artist for 50 years and in my numerous travels over the U. S. and abroad, this is one of my top 3 art stores! Quality art materials at very fair, reasonalbe prices and lots of craft items, too! Great book collection, also! Friendly, helpful and informed staff and they will oreder things for you!
