The Oregon Cheese Cave We decided to treat ourselves to some cheese and wine for Christmas. Melodie’s new shop is just amazing. It’s a ”cheese haven” and her prices are amazing. So is her selection. We purchased some Roquefort and a delicious Cheddar with Red wine! I found a cellar cask of Portuguese Red for $28 and it was extremely drinkable with my Cheddar! She is located right next to the beautiful flower gift shop and our pollinator gardens coming through Phoenix. Of course the star of the shop is Melodie herself along with her passion to educate us about CHEESE! Well done on your beautiful new shop Melodie! 👍

We just attended a cheese and wine pairing event here last night which was excellent. There was a lovely assortment, more and more information with our never-ending questions at the end, and a fun all-around atmosphere. While the shop is still small at the moment, the owner carries a nice variety, including some cheeses you can't find anywhere nearby. We heard about waffle cheese bowls and will have to be back soon to try it out! If you're a local, you should check out the place. If you're traveling through, make sure to stop and check out this gem.

I love this place. I live in France and miss ma fromagerie et ma baguette et mon saucisson and here is Melodie! 10 minutes from my parent's house in Medford! Not only that, I called from France and Melodie put together a beautiful charcuterie plate customized with the cheeses I know my mom likes and with extra french treats and had it delivered to her for her birthday! My mom absolutely loved it and it was the perfect gift (especially for those who are hard to buy for) The options for shipping french cheeses via Amazon were lame (and expensive) Melodie's selection is better quality, wider range of authentic often local cheeses (sells Rogue Creamery Blue for best price) and far more joyful for me to support a fantastic local businesswoman. Love, love, love the Cheese Cave! Melodie always has the best cheese and when in doubt she knows exactly which selection I need to make a well rounded purchase. She has a nice assortment of crackers, charcuterie, condiments, beverages plus fresh baked goods from Phillip the Baker and Southern Oregon SourDough. It's a very fun place to visit plus she has a lounge with games & toys kiddos can hang out in while I shop. They have local crafted treasures as well as funny cheese related swag. My experience at the Cheese Cave went beyond the cheese I ate there :). Melodie took me on a wild journey of cheese, musings, humble beginnings, and life lessons. She thoughtfully crafted a plate of cheeses that we had talked about and placed them on this fun plate that featured a map on France; the cheese was placed on the region of France it was from!
