Dollar General — Local services in Picayune

Terribly rude, on Christmas Eve, no less! Let me explain... My Mom hurt her back the day before Christmas Eve. So on Christmas Eve, I got into town, and found my Mom in this state. It was around 7:30 PM, maybe 7:40 PM on Christmas Eve so most of the other stores in town were closed, but Google said this one was open. So, I called up there to ask if they were open? And, did they carry heating pads? They answered the phone and I asked if they were open? They said, "I answered the phone didn't I?" Then, hung up on me. I attempted to call back, but they never answered. So, I will be boycotting this particular Dollar General, infinitely. Not to use my Mom as an excuse, but it was Christmas, and I take my Mom's pain, seriously. I will also file a formal complaint with their corporate office as soon as they...

I actually saw on the news yesterday, August 26, 2020, that in the U.S., there are more Dollar General stores than there are StarBucks & McDonald's put together!! I'm sure you can Google it really fast, but I can't even begin to count how many Dollar General stores there are in Hattiesburg! I feel like they're catching up to Walmart pretty quick! They're also starting to offer LOTS MORE items in the freezer/cold section, which I really like. It seems as though their freezer section items are a little more expensive though. But, it's worth it because I have to drive further to get to our local Walmart. Overall, I highly recommend going to shop at Dollar General stores no matter how young, old, or any location!...

This place is forever closing 5 to 10 minutes early , it’s frustrating to run somewhere because they tell you on the phone they are open until nine —but when you get there at 8:51 the doors are locked and they won’t let you in to get one can of soup! This isn’t the first time either. On the occasions I have been there during the employees seem friendly (I’ve had a couple negative experiences there as well but not many at all).
