We have overspent or ordered specific items online just to Qualify to receive an included free item like a special gift bag or other promised incentive. Yet have been let down/misled on multiple occasions because the gift item never arrived.
Nowadays, in store we have to squeeze the ladys hard to try and get any free samples included in our many $100+ perfume purchases. Seems like they try to keep them all themselves vs actually promoting the different products to those who actually buy there?
I usually have to negotiate like im in a flea market to get a sample or two thrown in first if im spending over $300 on colognes. I can understand why they would regulate it but dont see how they can tell me they have no samples available of any kind when we all know they have boxes and boxes of promotional bags and samples in those bottom drawers.
We constantly get these nice promo discounts by mail or in our account but... Seems like any time I try to use those attractive promotions they don't even apply to the actual purchases I need/want.
I do like the online multiple discounts when they auto apply and actually work but... you really gotta dig deep for...

I ordered a black Donna Karan formal dress online, which was shown with a black belt. Instead, it arrived with a brown belt I didn’t like. I called customer service, and they apologized, promising to send a replacement. A few days later, I received the exact same dress with the same wrong belt—and the box looked like it had been through a war.
I called again. Another apology, and they promised to send just the correct black belt from the warehouse. Weeks passed—no belt. When I followed up, they told me to return everything and reorder, but by then, my size was sold out.
I asked the rep to escalate the issue to a manager—they claimed they hadn’t even asked. At that point, I was left without the dress I wanted, out of time and patience, and shocked by the lack of follow-through.
