My dealership outsourced installation of a Garmin Radome, Garmin VHF radio and spotlight to Shiptronics in fall 2023. The installation overall looks incredible.

With that said, there were two small things I was somewhat disappointed with resulting in four stars out of five. First, when they were installing the radar (for which they called while out as they needed authorization to install a different mount -- which was perfectly fine/understandable), it was installed directly behind the anchor/all around white light such that it obstructed the light so it couldn't be seen from the back of the boat -- while such placement with obstruction of the light was likely inevitable due to height of the light compared to radar, especially as they had to call for the mount, I would have at least appreciated the heads up +/- an offer to install a new light/mount so it could be seen 360 degrees, which I would have gladly paid for, rather than this being a surprise.

Second, one of the features of the Garmin GPS radio is it could be connected to the NMEA network / chartplotter for GPS / distress, etc -- this connection was not made during the installation.

Outside of that, again, the install looked amazing, high quality work, and would not hesitate...

I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

Melissa did a phenomenal job working with my insurance to get the repairs done. Just had to send her my paperwork and she did the rest. She was always very responsive and kept me up to date on everything.

Dropping my boat off, Clay worked miracles and went over and above to make sure everything was looked over and installed correctly. Again, he also would give me updates and as he worked on my boat.

I will never take my boat to anywhere but...
