Le Creme Delight — Restaurant in Pinellas Park

I came to Le Creme Delight because of it’s 5 star reviews and my experience was nothing close to that. When I entered the store at 7pm on a Saturday night I was surprised that there were no other customers in the store. I ordered a banana split. It was $12.99 and not very good. I was surprised it came in a 4” paper dish (I was expecting a glass dish since I was eating it there). The banana split had ONE twirl of ice milk/custard and two scoops of whip cream on each side of it . I was expecting to have my choice of 3 different flavors of the real ice cream (gelato) but that wasn’t the case. I only received one twirl of “ice milk”. It had very little chocolate syrup and very few finely crushed nuts. However, the chocolate shavings were an unexpected surprise. The last time I had a banana split it had 3 to 6 scoops of real ice cream, topped with mountains of whipped cream, wet nuts, hot fudge, cherries and all kinds of other stuff in a fancy ice cream glass boat. Not this one. I guess times have changed.

ADDENDUM-The owner personally reached out to me after I wrote this review and he couldnt apologize enough about my experience that night. He stated that there was a “miscommunication” between the cashier and the younger girl who made my banana split. The owner, Firoz, refunded my entire order and really went out of his way to make up for this mistake. Although I would not recommend the banana split, their gelato in a cup was good. I will definitely give Le Creme Delight a second chance. Firoz, the owner, truly cares about his customers and strives to put out a good product. How far would you go for a dessert? We drove 45 mins from Tampa to try the brand new Le Crème Delight ice cream parlour and it was every bit worth it.

Had the bubble waffle loaded with strawberry and strawberry cheesecake gelato, whipped cream and strawberry topping, it was perfection in every bite. The soft yet toasty bubble waffle was nothing like anything I have ever tasted before. An otherwise heavy dessert it was so light and airy it took me by surprise. Warm and fuzzy feeling from a cold dessert is not what I expected.

They have a range of other innovative flavors including the kesar mango 🥭 which is hard to pass up on as an Indian. But my other two favorites were Espressos Brazil which is sugar free and a great option on non-cheat days and tiramisu.

Staff was courteous and friendly, ambience was warm and cozy.

I am definitely going back to celebrate, to unwind and to creat “sweet” moments with family...
