I went here to send a Western Union (WU) quick collect payment. The manager was behind the counter, which should be encouraging, but the manager was quite lazy and bad tempered in a passive-aggressive sort of way. When I told her why I was there, she not only asked why I was using WU, but who I wanted to pay (looking for a way to deny me the service, as I would soon discover). I only told her I was doing a Quick Collect; so she directed me to the forms, and I filled out the form to send money to an inmate. As soon as she saw, she told me WU stopped offering that service, and that, "my son is in prison, so I absolutely know."
She made up this story about an activist group that went to Tallahasee, and when I told her I was sending this to the feds, she amended her story to include Washington DC. I stepped out to call WU, and they told me she was full of it. So, I went back in, and I was carefully polite to tell her she was wrong (so as to not make her more passive-aggressive) by saying, "good news, apparently this is one of the only prison systems not affected". I was 100% successful, her passive aggressive attitude didn’t flare up, but I under-estimated her laziness.
When I pulled out some rolled coins in preparation for the bill, she told me they don’t accept coins. They accept certain kinds of rolled coins (like nickels or dimes), but they don’t accept mine. She made up some hilarious story about how you can’t evenly line up quarters to count them. There was no one in the store, I offered to take the 30 seconds to unwrap them, count them, and wrap them back up. But she continued with these ridiculous irrational excuses. In the end, she didn’t have to sign on to her WU account, or do anything that...
Read moreI dont often spend time making reviews but this is the absolute best market around ive been coming here for 5 years (previous owners/workers were not horrible by any means) and honestly some of the old crew still works there under the new management. I have always felt at home here ever since the new owners have taken over everyone is super friendly makes you walk out with a smile feeling good about your day. yes the people around this part of town can look a little rough (myself included) but you can't judge a place for being polite to "dirty rough looking customers" the majority of which are hard working men and women like myself I appreciate the hospitality here at b&n the variety of products they sell is just outstanding reasonably priced I have absolutely no problem spending my money here everyday they deserve our business and support thank you for always being polite day in and day out. you have a...
Read moreThis is one of the stores that most people will pass by but they're making a big mistake. I got a little butcher back there Market and the food is pretty good. I've gotten better steaks there then I have at Winn-Dixie or Publix and a better price. I picked up one day I discounted T-Bone look like the largest you've ever seen. It had to be an inch and a half sick had paid for less than $5 for it. Other than his rib eyes is steaks and only all priced at $5.99 you can't beat that. Also they have a 5lb bag the chicken quarters for $6. Generally it is white skin chicken those chickens I have gotten from them were killed were killed properly. That's that's to say there's no bloody meat in those thighs. otherwise they're just a nice convenience store with some great employees. Do yourself a favor and stop by and see what...
