I wish I could give negative star. These people are cheat and fraudulent. I bought a furniture from them. At the time of purchase I was told it will take 4-6 weeks for delivery and I was asked to pay full at the time of booking. Since then, I am still waiting for my furniture to be delivered. It's been over 7 weeks. Upon asking, I have been given only excuses instead of a better explanation. After 7 weeks, manager is trying to explain me saying weekends are not counted on the timeline of 4-6 weeks, reminding me about pandemic going on etc. etc. If these were legit explanation, she could have told me upfront when I was paying them 7 weeks ago, I could have gone with other options which I had but she didn't which proves the manager is making just excuses on their failure to deliver on time.
After the Response from Owner: If you are extremely dependent on the suppliers, in that case you need to check with them first before taking the customer's money. If you do, in that case, you need to own the full responsibility, you cannot hide behind the policy and the supplier excuse. We were very well in the middle of pandemic when I placed the order. All the reasons given to me after 7 weeks, could have been mentioned when I was placing the order before making the payment, but unfortunately it was not mentioned. The only thing was mentioned was, "this order will take 4-6 weeks to arrive".
When I called the store after 7 weeks, Manager gave me very vague answer with a careless attitude and then she hung up on me twice and never pick up my call after that. Her response was very irresponsible and...
Read moreI found a couch I really liked at Ashley Furniture. However I was put off by the reviews for Ashley. Siting delays in deliveries, merchandise being wrong or broken on delivery, and poor accountability and communication. When I asked the Ashley rep when the couch could be delivered, they explained August 29 would be the absolute earliest.
Enter Flipping Jay's. I found I couch which was a little more money, but an unbelievable price when considering the following: Jeremy the owner was very patient and friendly with me. I asked when was the soonest he could deliver the couch. I was floored when he said the next morning.
When it comes to furniture retail Jeremy is a rare cat in that he focuses on honesty, the customers needs, and most of all fairness. I purchased the couch, called them three times through out the day yesterday changing my mind as to which side I want the chaise on. Jeremy still called this morning to confirm my final decision. I explained how I was sorry for flip flopping so much. He just laughed said its important you get it the way you want it. Now 23 hours after meeting Jeremy, I have a brand new couch without defects in my home. Jeremy had delivered this couch himself, this morning because he understood how soon I wanted a new couch.
If you live in the Charlotte area, you have a choice: Shop the larger companies and risk, some run around, long waits and sub par customer service. or See Jeremy at Flipping Jay's. Support a local gentlemen who will be your single point of contact if you have any issues, and do whatever he can you see you are satisfied.
I could go on, but I am going to shower so I lay nude across my new couch that I purchased...just yesterday.
Thank you...
Read moreI purchased furniture in June that totaled right under $5,000, including my delivery and set-up fee. The delivery men cracked the surface of my dining table while putting it together. One of the chairs was also wobbly because a leg was too short. The day after delivery, I reached out to the store and spoke with Kaitlin via phone and email and sent her pictures that she asked for. She assured me that they would replace the table and chair. At first, they said the table was on back order. In August, they said they had the table, but no chair. In September they still had no chair, but said "the table is here if you want to come get it." I live over an hour from their store and do not drive a truck. I paid nearly $300 for the delivery the first time, so I asked, "Am I expected to pick this up myself?" Kaitlin asked for my address again. She said she would speak to the owner and delivery drivers to see when it could be delivered to me. That was on September 21, and I haven't heard from them since. During my initial visit to the store, the owner made it clear that he made his "bread and butter" selling appliances. That should've been my warning to avoid buying furniture from him. I highly suggest spending a little more for furniture at a more reputable place. Poor customer service, cheaply made furniture, careless delivery drivers, dishonest...
