FIND SOME PLACE ELSE!!! BUGS BUGS BUGS AND MORE BUGS!!! UNSAVORY HOTEL!||September 07, 2024, my companion and I arrived at Four Points Charlotte-Pineville. We noticed three roaches within the first hour. I contacted Front Desk, Rhonda, to report our findings. She offered to have us transferred to another room once one became available. We politely declined while I had to prepare for work as we only booked for one night. However, I noticed what appeared to look like balconies from the outside of the hotel. I asked Rhonda if some of the rooms have balconies and she said yes but at that time none were available. I said no problem I completely understand and thanked her for her time.||Next morning, I was awakened by my companion as he startled me while screaming get up there are bugs in the bed. I got up as we turned on all of the lights to further discover the overwhelming amount of bugs on the night stands and couch as well. I immediately contacted Front Desk to inform as Rhonda was back on duty. She said okay I’m sending someone up. I quickly jumped into the shower hoping to be done by the time someone arrived. However, my companion asked housekeeping to allow us a few minutes for me to get dressed. When she entered the room, she stated that they were ants as she advised us to finish gathering our belongings and that she would let Management know.||Once we exited the room and went to the Front Desk for checkout, we asked for Management. Rhonda informed that Manager, Teresa Sloan nor Assistant Manager, Taylor was on duty. I then asked for Housekeeping Rep and Rhonda informed that she was gone for the day. I said no one is here to address this issue? She said no but I can take your name and number and have them call you. I said you have my information in the database as I found it strange that the Housekeeper, Gloria, had departed following this incident. We then asked for an incident report and were denied as Rhonda stated that she didn’t know how to write an incident report. Therefore, I contacted Marriott Senior Elite Services to report our experience. Representative Regina, stated that all hotel clerks should know how to write an incident report and a manager should always be on duty. She immediately stated that she was going to request that we be refunded and that I should receive a call from Management on the next business day, the following Monday. NEITHER NEVER HAPPENED!||September 25, 2024, I have yet to speak to a Manager of the Hotel. I decided to reach back out to Senior Elite Services only to discover that a response was submitted to my case file indicating falsehoods surrounding these series of events as no one never took the time to contact me. I’ve escalated to Corporate as these business practices and behaviors should be deemed UNACCEPTABLE as I continue to await with absolutely no resolve!!! Perhaps, it may be a good idea to file a lawsuit and have it broadcasted via news media… maybe that will get their attention.||October 8, 2024:||FYI! I‘ve noticed other reviewers have had similar experiences. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO SHARE THIS WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW TO PREVENT OTHERS FROM HAVING TO ENDURE SUCH A HORRIBLE AND DREADFUL EXPERIENCE AS MANY OF...
Read moreThe stay was not very pleasant. The thermostat did not work in the room so it continued to say 99 degrees at all time. The soap dispensers in the shower were not cleaned in quite some time with the soap scum build up. I had requested a rollaway bed for my son and the afternoon shift representative said they should be able to put one in but I'm quite certain she was not telling the truth and forgot about my request and just told me there were no rollaway beds. I've worked in hotel management and even if we couldn't accommodate we would have made sure that extra linens were in the rooms to accommodate the guests. I had to call down a few minutes later where she told me that I had to come get linens. She only gave me a sheet and a comforter. No towels, no extra pillow, no fitted sheet to put over the couch. We were also leaving to leave the next morning and had no "do not disturb sign" and I assumed I would have to go to the front desk to get that. The unfriendly representative told me just to put my towels outside the door and they'd put more in my room. Well, the entire reason of wanting the DND is to get more towels so they wouldn't have to enter my room and to make sure that my room was not entered if it didn't have to be. So I put my towels outside the door with a list I wrote on a napkin because they don't provide any paper or pens anymore. I also used the top of a Togo box to write do not disturb. Then we were stopped by a housekeeper exiting a room without a mask. Which is another reason why I did not want anyone entering my room while I wasn't there. The market you had did not provide any kind of otc pain medication. My husband had to leave late at night to find a gas station for Tylenol. Every other hotel I have ever stayed at has provided basic pain medications. Every time I walked past the front desk, not a single person was there. There was not a pleasant person that worked there. I did not feel like a guest. I felt like a burden. I did not feel welcomed into this facility. The employees that were seen just made it feel like they didn't want to be there as much as they didn't want the...

I had ONE pre-paid reservation for two rooms, one room under my name and one under my wife's name. My wife was travelling separately. Staff refused to check us into the PREPAID room under my wife's name until she arrived.
Oh, and the PREPAID thing, forget about that too. Even though we paid in advance, hotel staff disagreed and refused to acknowledge. Also refused to contact the booking agent to resolve. Accordingly, had to pay AGAIN just to check in. Then, had the chance to contact booking agent on my own to confirm prepayment. Once the booking agent resolved, hotel staff agreed to remove the charge, grudgingly. Absolutely no effort was made by staff to apologize for inconvenience nor to take a little initiative in the spirit of hospitality to attempt to resolve. Their perspective: "Not my problem".
Finally, after navigating the dis-hospitality of check-in, we find that one of the rooms has a broken air-conditioner (mid July, deep south....). The carpeting in the room is soaked with condensation spewing from the AC unit & there is no cool air. Staff offered to come to the room & throw some towels on the floor to make it all better. Magnanimous! After a rather contentious exchange, staff finally agreed to provide another room.
Loud, raucous, belligerent guests throughout the hotel at the wee hours - hotel staff indifferent to requests to address....
Breakfast? I recommend taking a pass on this gruel.
This is the kind of hospitality you can expect at the Four Points by Sheraton at Charlotte-Pineville. Make alternate arrangements if your expectations are for a decent place to stay.
The one-star rating you see is only there because the ratings scale will accept nothing less than one star. Four Points by Sheraton at Charlotte-Pineville actually earned far less in their performance. Do yourself a favor & take a pass...
