I paid Peter Politis, the owner of AudioMasters, to put a basic car starter & alarm System, and CarPlay Stereo in my car.

Initially, I was pleased with the job he did. Little did I know the personal Hell this transaction would become over the next 18 months.

Not only has this man and his team proven themselves to be unable to do the job correctly, but they have also demonstrated through their actions to be dishonest, unethical, unprofessional, and very cruel.

The problems with the stereo and alarm systems started almost immediately. The stereo would skip, and different screens would pop up when I would turn the car on, and sometimes the screen would be blank, so I would have to restart the car to get to the stereo.

The alarm would sometimes churp different tones, which Peter indicated was a sensor issue, and the starter button would set off my alarm a lot of the time.

Fast forward 2024. The alarm stopped working all together so Peter agreed to replace it.

So many long visits to AudioMasters, I was patient and respectful with this man.

The last week in September, 2024, my stereo wireless stopped working, the volume went up and down by itself, screen flashed on and off. The next day, I called Peter. No answering machine, and He would not respond to my texts, I verified he received them. He just chose not call me back.

Then the stereo stopped working all together. No CarPlay, no music. After a week of being ignored, I was able to speak with Peter.

Peter acknowledged the problem, offered to replace the defective stereo.

Another week passed. October 4, I got this text from Peter: “Morning Marcus, Just left the warehouse with the new radio and headed back to charlotte. Ill text you when I'm on the way to you.”

That was the last time I heard from Peter, or AudioMasters. I spoke with an employee, he put me on hold for 30 minutes.

I called back, they have call waiting, they would not pick up.

I had someone else call from another number, and they picked up.

This man, Peter Politis, and his company, AudioMasters “Seriously” Messed up the wiring in my car. I have malfunctions in my locks, my lights, my door sensor, and I had to pay another company to have “another” stereo installed, and now “the second alarm system” Peter replaced the first one with is malfunctioning.

The right and decent thing, would have been for Peter to refund the money I paid, if He could not solve the problems He created by a faulty installation of a basic car alarm and stereo.

If you are Hyundai/Kia owner for sure you have heard about Tik Tok car theft! Recently thief's tried to steal my car using the Tik Tok method. The result was damages for $2000.00! After my car was repaired I needed to be sure that this will never happen again. Hyundai/Kia were no help. I received some official "SORRY" email stating that they are rolling out a " security kit" (kill switch+ glass breaking sensor) which "solves" the Tik Tok issue. What Hyundai is doing is simply buying alarm system from a third party manufacturer (Compustar) and selling it through their dealerships at heavily inflated rates (~$600.00). I bought my Compustar 7900AS for $178.00 on Amazon (Now available even cheaper). After I got the kit which for sure works for my Hyundai Santa Fe 2020 ,I started looking for authorized by manufacturer installer. On manufacturers web site there was listed few companies for the Charlotte Metro area, and I started visiting them. One thing in common ( Best Buy Geek Squad, Tint World , etc) all of them were clueless, and not having experience with my particular model! They wasted me few weeks time. Finally I ran over the name of Audio Masters, and I went to visit them. from the door I noticed that they have in the shop running ads on a big screen , and 1 of the products rolling was my Compustar 7900AS. I already knew I found the right people. The guy was very competent, and knowledgeable about this particular model install. I got a quote , and guarantees that the system will work as intended. disappointed about the information I received today came back here in the year of June 2023 to purchase new speakers and a new radio fast-forward currently present time 2025 I changed the battery in my vehicle and suddenly my radio is stuck on set up mode I’m unable to select finish so I’m currently stuck on one screen unable to use my radio altogether called the store Explain my problem. I felt speaking to the employee. I thought it would be a easy fix. Come to find out. I was told that I need to get my radio replaced altogether. The employee offer me another radio at a price that was still higher than online. I felt the situation could have been handled differently if you really cared about your customers. I’ve had multiple cars before and never after changing the battery. It has my radio disabled after doing my research. The radio came out in 2020. I purchased in 2023, but I was told from the employee that this was the best radio out come to find out this radio has been reported with many glitches and people reporting in the same issue as mine’s . I should have did my research before purchasing anything the original company I wanted to go to we’re booked up 3 months in advice i didn’t want to wait ! Selling me a radio almost 4 years old then giving me a 1 year warranty was a little dishonest you did not care then employee said “radios are a hit and miss” hmmm very professional to say ? Its giving I sold you some BS . Like I said I notice glitches here and there while using the radio I would always think it was my Apple cord . I had two people tell me don’t go here just wait for the other audio shop I wish I listen smh...
