I was walking with my family around the mall after a nice dinner at Las Marias, which is a nice addition to the area. As we walked by the stage in the upcoming food court, my wife made a joke that our 6 year old daughter should get on stage. A man, who I originally thought was just someone eating dinner, yelled out NO! I thought he was joking from the absurdity of his tone. But he yells out again NO, YOU CAN’T GET ON STAGE, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU! Now I’m seriously annoyed. As he returns to his takeout dinner, he’s shaking his head profusely. I make a comment….”it’s really not a big deal. I don’t know why you’re shaking your head like that.” He quips back “I’m just calling out bad parenting” Really? This is how the public is spoken to, when literally nothing even occurred. He’s calling customers of the mall “bad parents” because we joked about getting on a stage in an empty mall? This is unacceptable behavior, especially for a business space trying to grow. We were literally the only people there on a Saturday night. I will be following up on this. In the meantime. Read moreIt is a shame what is happening to this mall. There isn't another mall around for miles and miles. This place should be busy all the time and PACKED on the weekends. I feel there is HUGE untapped potential at this mall. There should be big events scheduled here EVERY weekend. This city and the people in this town need this mall to be successful since the industry is shot in this town. It was awesome to go there 2 years ago during the weekend that showcased the racing stuff. Fun to see locals doing well and running into old friends.....and picking up a few items along the way. This place needs a MUCH better marketing team who care about this mall for the community it serves. Breathe some life back into this place before it is time to pull the plug and Piqua has yet another empty building to drive by. The managers/owners of this mall OWE it to the people that work there and depend on that income to support...
Read moreWe just visited Baken Me Happy in the Piqua Center & the cookies are delicious!!! I got The Dad Bod, a yummy salty & sweet cookie with peanut butter chips, chocolate chips, pretzels & malt. My boyfriend loved the Cookies & Cream cookie. Nice people running it with great service. Highly recommend!!! Updating to add that The Fruity Smoothie Cafe is awesome too!! We both got strawberry banana smoothies & a bottled water to share. Very tasty smoothies. They have lots of different fruits, flavors & things you can add like protein & whipped cream. They also have an espresso machine that they are learning & will have espresso drinks available in the future. They also have the 'good ice' so many people love. The arcade is really cool with lots of new games & fun prizes. The mall is now 21+ nightly from 9pm to 11pm. The bar in the middle & other eateries are really nice & a great addition to the...
