Red Lobster — Restaurant in Piqua

Red Lobster in Piqua Ohio impressed me!

I have never been to ANY Red Lobsters and decided to go to the Piqua location because I figured it would be less crowded. I took my mom and daughter (who was mistaken for a boy by whom I think was the manager last night) and it was not too cowded when we came. Our server was Chas (female) and she was polite and efficient. We came because of the All You Can Eat Shrimp. Food was hot, plentiful and delicious. The only exception was my daughter's Shrimp Fettuccini/Linguini (bowl of noodles & shrimp) was a little dry. When my mom ordered the same dish a little later it looked good a creamy. Maybe they could make it creamy like that ALL THE TIME! THANK YOU. For me the stars of the "food show" was my salad and potato. That potato was so soft and creamy! Better than Wendy's potato (sorry Wendy's). The shrimp kept on coming and it was always hot and delicious! AND I am NOT A FAN of the cheddar biscuits! Don't see what all the buzz was about. Went there with my daughter as a treat since she has never been. The service was excellent. Our waitress was fantastic. She was very personable and kind. Also, never let our drinks go empty, which is always a plus for me. The Chedder biscuits were amazing as always. Our main dishes and appetizer, on the other hand, were something to be desired. We each got the shrimp choose two options with the shrimp Alfredo, and shrimp scampi as our choices. We also got the shrimp rangoon appetizer. The appetizer was ok, and the dipping sauce was great, but there seemed to be only breading and shrimp . None of the desired rangoon flavors that one is used to was present. The shrimp Alfredo was very bland. Barely any flavor and very little Alfredo sauce. The shrimp scampi was ok as well, but there was very little buttery sauce that normal scampi comes with, and the tails were still on the shrimp, so it made for very messy eating. All in all it was a good experience due to the service and my daughter loves seafood but this food experience made it so she said "This is good but I don't need to come...

The parking lot was packed, so we decided to give it a shot and see how long we would wait for a table, was 3 parties waiting for a table ahead of us. So we were told by the hostess that our wait for a table would be about 10 min. So it seems off to me but in fact, it was about 10 minutes when the manager got a table ready for us and even walk us to our table mention that our server would be with us shortly when the server approach we weren't even ready but he took our drinks. It wasn't hard to choose when I was told it was an endless shrimp choice. So we got our salad and then before finish the salad the food arrives. Was really fast I was surprised because the place was fully booked. Food was so good that I took some more Garlic shrimp, breaded shrimp and some spicy one. Manager and server approach table a couple of times to make sure we were ok. The drink never hit the bottom. I was satisfied with service and food was awesome.
