I had waited over two hours to be able to get my sons prescription. At first conversation i said his birthday confirmation, so it was clear to them he was only 10 days old and hes small so it should also be obvious if im picking up a medicine for him its very important he has it. I called twice prior to going to this pharmacy to ensure the medication was ready for pickup. Never got a call back.
My son and i waited in 5 different lines getting sent back and forth between two employees.
The first time, i was told they dont accept Medicaid,
which i knew wasnt true, so i had to get on the phone with the medicaid insurance agent, while in the second line for the pharmacy boss to talk with them to confirm i have Medicaid. But i did have both my sons cards and my medicaid cards, so it was unnecessary and a waste of time they had us do that. Then i was told to wait 15 minutes for them to fill the prescription.
I waited 15 minutes and went into a third line, just to be lied to by the pickup employee who said that the medicine was out of stock. She didnt acknowledge or apologize for the mistake about the insurance, so it was clear she either knew medicaid was accepted, or she was just disrespectful in general and lacked accountability. The lie about the medicine being out of stock showed her disrespect/ inability to complete tasks properly. Someone should definitely help her with one-on-one training if she is new. I really hope her issue is lack of adequate pharmaceutical training/ lack of customer service skills.
The fourth time, I had to go in the other employees line again because i didnt believe they were out of stock of the medicine. And the fourth time i was in line, the boss found the medicine in less than a minute and told her employees to look more carefully for the medicine so all medications are filled if needed. I was shocked she had to tell her employees something so obvious. But she gave the medicine to a different employee and she filled the medicine, i was told it would take about 5 minutes to be filled accurately.
I got back after 5 minutes and had waited in the long line a fifth time and had to deal with the original employee again. She asked if i wanted to be signed up for text alerts, i said yes, added my number and agreed to text alerts and left with the prescription. No acknowledgment for the multiple mistakes.
An employee that isnt aware of which insurances are accepted by cvs, how to find a prescription, or how to sign up prescription text alerts, basic polite customer service skills, really needs to receive additional training or be reviewed for discrimination, malpractice, and misinformation to customers.
But all that should not have occurred, and the wait should not have been 2 hours, especially with calling ahead of time twice and leaving voicemails. Also, i never got any text alert confirmation, based on how rude the employee was I would assume she didnt actually do that part of her job either.
This employee also did have a list of multiple phone numbers written on a blank piece of paper. She wrote my number down on the list and other peoples numbers were visible on the list, she wrote my number down after saying the medicine was out of stock. Im hoping theres a valid reason shes writing customers...
Read moreAbsolutely horrific in every way possible. They never have mine or my husbands prescriptions. Every single time we go there we already know to brace ourselves for an issue. First time getting an acne medication, the pharmacist never mixed the powder into the jar along with another substance to mix. I just assumed they no longer did that—so I mixed it myself. The consistency was not the same so I asked the pharmacist what I did wrong. I was scolded and the pharmacist said “why would you mix it—you don’t get anymore”....well, if someone was doing a quality check and you did your job I wouldn’t be out a medication and my time. Second time, I had a horrible and painful infection. I was prescribed 20 morphine from the hospital. They tell me they don’t have enough so I’ll have to forfeit 10 of my pills. What? What pharmacy doesn’t carry a common pain med? They’ve been out of 9/10 of my prescriptions. Common prescriptions. Who does the inventory? They are failing. Then, I receive texts that my scripts are ready and low and behold—not only are they not ready, they are not there. The pharmacy techs are rude, the pharmacist is rude, they are short staffed, their inventory is non-existent, etc etc. just when you think you can circumvent the personalities of the pharmacy by utilizing the drive-thru...the speaker doesn’t work. You can’t hear ANYTHING. Please avoid and save yourself...
Read moreThis store is completely dysfunctional. My husband misses doses of prescriptions that he shouldn't miss every single month because the pharmacy lies about filling them. I'm really fed up with seeing him get sick repeatedly because they're irresponsible and dishonest. The best part is that his prescription insurance is their corporate insurance, so apparently they can't even work with themselves.
Less importantly, there is always a mile-long line for the cash register. God help you if you try to use the self-checkout for more than 2 items, because the weigh scale is going to malfunction and nobody is going to come to fix it until after you've left your purchases and walked out. Also, good luck buying convenience store items, because they don't bother to keep them stocked.
Give these people what they really want: don't shop here, because they clearly don't...
