I’m usually the type of person to give businesses a second chance, but after my experience here, I feel compelled to warn others. While the food has good flavor and the new ambiance is a step up, the service is absolutely atrocious. We booked a dinner for a family of 10 and called 30 minutes ahead to inform them we were running 10-15 minutes late. Upon arrival, we were forced to stand outside for 25 minutes, despite having a reservation. When we asked to wait inside, citing that our 3-year-old child has a pollen allergy, the owner was unapologetically rude, dismissing our concerns with a simple, "There’s nothing I can do." The table we were waiting for was empty and had been available the entire time.

The situation only worsened from there. Despite being polite and respectful throughout, we were ignored, and our food didn’t arrive until nearly everyone else had already finished dining. We even requested that our child's order be brought out first, considering the circumstances, but that request was completely ignored.

If there was an option to give negative stars, I absolutely would. It’s heartbreaking because the food was truly some of the best I’ve had in the Edison area, but the service—particularly from the owner—was so disheartening and rude that I will never return. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone. The way they treat customers is a glaring flaw that can’t be overlooked. It was insulting, not just to me for recommending this place, but to my entire family that came to...

Firstly, I have been a regular customer for 5 years and it is extremely disheartening how a loyal customer is treated at this place.

Have seen this behavior a few times but today was just extreme. Extremely arrogant manager.

We called in upfront for a birthday dinner, we were told that we can come in till 10:00 pm. We were here at 9:30. There was rush. Manager was extremely arrogant and was talking very aggressively. Just because we were left with no choice, we had to stand the guy. It was getting extremely humiliating the way the guy was talking In front of all the guests. He was asking us to do a take away or get lost. Firstly the restaurant could have simply told us that they could not accommodate us. Second, the manager could have spoken politely and explained to us that there is rush and they cannot accommodate even though they confirmed.

Pls do not come to this place, even though the food is good. The place needs to become customer friendly. Just because there are limited options in the place, does not mean these guys are allowed to take customers for a ride. The manager generally flips his behavior depending on how the business is going. On the high - he is extremely arrogant and on the low - friendly....

I am ditching this place going forward. Suggestion to the restaurant: you guys need training on how to speak to customers and how to manage rush hours. Also pls get some lessons on anger...

Hey Friends,

I believe this message will make people think twice before even signing up in this restaurant for any kind of party's. I had heard from others that the restaurant owner "Poojary" is an extremely business minded man. That was proven during my daughters birthday party we hosted at this dirty restaurant. Carpet is extremely dirty, chairs are torn, no proper trash can and no one to change the over flowing trash with the food. The owner of the party is in the kitchen monitoring what goes outside the kitchen to the party hall. He sends used soda for the guests and is stingy in serving the food including the lassi. I advise you all not to go to this restaurant or host any party. Poojary is a liar and is only after your money. Food you get for party is out and out different than the one's served when you order individually. He is not bothered to even ask if things and food are good. Before you even wrap up to leave the hall he himself comes to clean up the party hall tables to send his customers. I am not jealous of this guys prosperity. I just want people to know that a person who can send used soda thinking we are fools to drink the used bottle, can even provide used food for his customers. He is not a trustworthy guy. Dont go by his words. Go by your gut instinct when you plan to host a party in this dirty...

First thing, They need to employ a bus boy or a system with a rolling trolley and tubs to clean and entire dirty tables RIGHT AWAY & set the table for pleasant experience. Diners should Not be looking at dirty tables whilst eating. Partially cleaning tables , leaving a few dirty plates or a empty but uncleaned table is unacceptable. A cordless vacuum to clean the floor is necessary. . Stop serving stale tomato or other chutneys. Fix all those burnt / melted tables. Tiled floors are oily & slippery. Get a cintas or some other commercial carpet and uniform supply service. Everyone must wear uniforms to be professional. Concentrate on few items and improve quality of food. One does not need 1000 variety of dosas. A simpler menu would be Dosa, Uttapam, Rava dosa with limited toppings Extensive menu leads to average quality and some items served are close to getting spoilt. I hope owner is reading and taking notes. This is meant to be constructive criticism to help improve. Sigh. I guess a lot comes to finance and business. Pinching corners only serves to drive down business from the most loyal customers.

We've been patrons of Sukh Sagar for about eighteen years, and we keep coming back for a reason. Sukh Sagar is probably our favorite Indian restaurant in New Jersey, which says something given the sheer number of places in this small state. My favorite dish at the restaurant has to be the Chole Bhature. Sukh Sagar is the only Indian restaurant in the US I know that has perfected both the chana (soft and flavorful) and the bhature (fluffy and crispy). The dish is the closest I've had to Chole Bhature made in India. If you decide to order it, think about splitting it with someone else. It's heavy. Sukh Sagar offers a huge selection of dishes. I'd daresay call it The Cheesecake Factory of Indian restaurants. They serve South Indian (many kinds of dosas and uttapams), North Indian (like the aforementioned Chole Bhature), and Indo-Chinese dishes. You have your pick at pretty much anything you want. I highly recommend Sukh Sagar, and I suggest you stop by if you're in the Central Jersey area and want good Indian food.

We dined in here after long long time for buffet. This was our fav vegetarian restaurant before covid for breakfast and buffet. But this time, the food was just ok and it was fine with the taste but not many options. Also, nothing was being refilled and all the trays looked empty all the time. Taste was better but rice could have been maintained well. For the price we paid, 25$ for each person, i expected a little more tasty stuff. Idlis were not so soft, there were no complimentary drinks, rice items were soo dry, very less appetizers, not much of refilling. They could do much more better to maintain the repeated audience. I liked the standards of chand palace compared to this one. Please consider to improve the quality….
