My husband and I decided to remodel our kitchen. We had contacted several businesses and a box chain. The task seemed confusing and daunting. All the decisions. What kind of cabinets, choice of counter tops, the layout. Most of the businesses were telling us to plan for at least six weeks without a kitchen. We thought how are we going to be able to do this. We decided to try to plan for a summer remodel. At our Saturday appointment, Anthony had proposed a design. He sat with us for more than an hour and went through the design. We discussed our budget and he went over initial costs. He gave us a price range so we knew what cabinets were in our budget while we looked through the samples in the shop. Kathy, another owner, was helpful in directing us about the different style of cabinet doors. We were also told that the project would be about 2 ½ to 3 weeks barring any major complications. I was surprised to hear this considering other places were saying at least six to eight weeks that I wouldnât have use of my kitchen. We were frequent visitors at Stelton Cabinets before our remodel to pick out everything. With Kathyâs experience in the business, she assisted us with picking out the cabinets, flooring, subway tile, door handles and faucet. She also gave suggestions of which things might work well together. The project date was set for mid- July. Anthony kept us posted on the exact start date. Once the project got started, Anthony tried to set things up so we could use the refrigerator in the kitchen as long as possible and then we moved it to the garage. He also set up a place for us to use a small microwave and coffee maker in the kitchen. The crew kept the area very clean. They cleaned up after themselves each day. Anthony had my cabinets, the new stove and refrigerator hooked up back in the kitchen in two weeks. Our project really did take about three weeks!! We were happy to be in our new kitchen and I loved how the granite looked on the counters. The cost was a little more than other places but the service and quality of work was worth it. It has been about two years since we had our kitchen redone. We are very satisfied with the quality of the cabinets. We had some minor issues with the cabinet hinges and a piece of flooring. We were able to reach out to Bob and set up for him to come take a look at it. With some scheduling, he came back and replaced some cabinet hinges and a piece of flooring. He had no issues about taking caring of the problem. He took his time and did a great job. My husband and I would highly recommend Stelton Cabinets for your kitchen or...
Read moreI could not have asked for more with the kitchen project (new cabinets, backsplash, countertop, and flooring) that Stelton Cabinet just completed. The cabinets and other products installed are of excellent quality. Kathy and Bob were extremely helpful from the start, in guiding me in choosing the appropriate cabinets and related items, without pressure to choose any specific one. As overwhelming as it may seem, the demolition of my existing kitchen and the new installation went smoothly. Bob and Anthony were attentive to the disruption that this work necessarily causes, and took steps to minimize it, such as reconnecting my range as soon as possible so that I could use it even as the work proceeded, and leaving my refrigerator connected. Inevitably, small glitches arose in the job. But they were no match for Bob, who diligently and creatively worked to address them, drawing upon his years of experience in doing this type of work. Bob and Anthony left the kitchen clean and swept up at the end of each day. Additionally, Bob is not bound by the clock, but often stayed later in the evening to finish a phase of the project. Finally, throughout it all, everyone was cheerful, cooperative, and extremely helpful. While it took some time for the job to start, perhaps related to COVID supply issues, the finished product and entire experience were well worth the wait. I highly recommend Stelton Cabinet, and would not hesitate to use the...
Read moreI wasn't planning on writing a review when we first saw the issues, but as time passes and we continue to see the results of our bath remodel which was done in 2012, we cannot let anyone else make the same mistakes. Our vanity was custom and varnished, and within 2yrs the vanish began peeling. Naturally the vanity will get some water splashes as it contains the sink, but to peel within 2 yrs is preposterous. only used by 2 people. I was told by a designer, the only way this occurs is if the varnish used is quite substandard or low quality materials. The mirror for the vanity that was outsourced to one of their subs Sunlight glass, started showing the glue from the back of the mirror in a year. That is bad workmanship. Needless to say we are in the process of replacing/refacing the cabinet and replacing the mirror. We later discovered that we were overcharged about 6% more than we should have for the size of our bathroom. I will never recommend them or ever use their services again. I learned a lot of what to look out for when hiring contractors. always ask for references fm customers who had work done over 5yrs ago to get a better idea. Gave 2 stars because the owner had a pleasant...
