Ordered a decent amount little over $100. When I got there they gave me one bag with all the food in it.
Ordered dosa, saak, parathas, sandwiches etc
Got home and my kids daal for dosa was smashed up with plastic pieces in it. Called them and told them issue and told me to come in. Guy gave me new daal No apologies nothing. I left and by the time i come home the packaging on the parathas was also smashed. To my suprise there were small pastic peices in there also since pastic container was smashed with the food in the bag one on top another. My dad already took a peice of paratha thinking only plastic box broke. He could have actually ate small plastic particles as he is old and cant see to well. I called back again. They told me to bring in my order. I brought the parathas back and showed them the packaging and small plastic particles in the food because of how they stuffed everything in one bag.
I got there and told them this is not $10 or $15 dollar order. Guy said we will make your paratha again. Our dinner time is 630 not 730 or 8. My family not goin to wait around for you guys to fix my food.
I left the parata and daal and some saak there and told them not sure why you place such a big order in one bag. Everything will get smashed or squished. Not even sure if someone ate a piece of the tiny plastic in my family. Completely unsafe.
Came home threw out rest of the order in garbage.
Thanks for nothing. During covid times you guys should be extremely careful as you will be building life long customers and health is a huge deal. Its not about how fast you can turn around your orders. Put some quality into it. Its not how much money you can make. I not only did not accept for you to remake my food but i also did not ask for refund. Since i was wearing a mask you did not see my face. I was actually setting up for a catering order for garba later this year for 150 people. Now you have lost that business also. Thank god i did not sign up with you. Who knows what food you would be serving...
Read moreVery disappointing experience and makes me furious that this location just doesn't care about people's health. It was a special day so we wanted to indulge in some desserts last night. My husband bought rasmalai and gulab jamun from the piscataway location. I'm not complaining here about the taste or texture. Mediocre taste would still be fine for me. But it is about their lost values, their greed for money, no remorse, no care of customer's health, lying and spoiling the name of Indians. Charging almost $5 for each piece of mithayi and then selling rotten old stale mithayi is very immoral and inhuman. We bought 6 gulab jamun and 4 rasmalai. Paid almost $50 before taxes for what?? to fall sick?? I have little kids as young as a 3 year old. They lied that the mithayi was fresh. Even if they had sold to us 2-3 days old, 'not spoiled' dessert I would have just ignored and not be so furious. But they sold completely spoilt desserts risking my entire family's health. Both gulab jamun and rasmalai were sour and spoilt. The syrup of gulab jamun smelled very funky and had those bubbles that are formed when it's gone bad and moldy. I discarded it. The rasmalai was so sour and spoilt that even my little kids could figure out and thank God they didn't ask to eat more. I called up the store today to complain and after hearing me out the person said, "Ma'am price of mithayi is $4.95 not $5". I am beyond shocked. After all I said to him what mattered more was correcting me on the price. I asked to speak to the store's supervisor or manager. The manager Jimmy was out. This place will be closed soon, unless they own up to their mistakes, offer refund and stop selling old rotten food. I see a lot of negative reviews here along with pics. They haven't responded to any of those reviews to make it right with their unhappy customers. This shows they...
Read moreI have been a Moghul Express (Edison) customer for many years and I especially enjoy their sweets. I noticed this newer location as I was driving and stopped in to buy sweets. The 1st red flag? They only had TWO choices for sweets in the ENTIRE display case. One of those (Pineapple Tres Leches) is a favorite of mine and I purchased it. The next red flag? I noticed the “3% convenience fee for ALL CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS ” sign on the front door, at the checkout register and in fact, it seemed they decided to decorate the place with that paper sign. I decided to pay CASH and the entire transaction took maybe 3 minutes from entrance, purchase to leaving, with the gentleman at the register frowning & looking annoyed the entire time, (ESPECIALLY when I asked for a receipt) before he finished ringing up my transaction. I paid, received my dessert and left. Unfortunately, I didn’t look at my receipt until I arrived home and saw that I was charged the now infamous “credit card convenience fee” even though I paid cash AND I was taxed on the subtotal amount which included that convenience fee. How many other CASH paying customers have had this happen unknowingly? Is the cash register set up to just automatically add the “credit card convenience fee” to ALL transactions? It would have been SO SIMPLE (and a much better customer service experience) if the cashier/counter person asked if I would be paying with cash or credit. Not only that, something told me to only try a small bite of the Pineapple Tres Leche and it tasted sour and not fresh. Now THAT made me wonder just HOW LONG it had been sitting there in the display case, all alone with only ONE OTHER sweet to keep it company…🤔 Needless to say, I will NEVER return to this Moghul Express location and I am forwarding a copy of the receipt, with a transaction explanation to the NJ State...
