Pathetic experience of overall Indian food dining. Our family came from LA and had great expectations with NJ food which left us disheartened. Not just us there were other families who were fighting over food while paying we did too.

Ambience- Small place- Indians loud as always - we were also - no complaints. Tables and all normal Service- We were 10 people - ordered appetizers and food. Of all the orders -They bought manchurian gravy without fried rice which we ordered- we asked why rice didn’t come together - they said gravy will get cold in kitchen- I ASKED NOW WHAT DO WE DO LET GRAVY GET COLD IN OUR TABLE WITHOUT RICE- they said that’s how they work ❌. Rest food came in no order FOOD- we ordered chole bature for kids Who can mess up a chole- common- kids said it has no taste - not spice- no taste - we tasted pathetic❌ Burnt garlic chilli rice was loaded with chilli flakes so basically it was fried garlic from before out 3 spoons of chilli flakes and soy sauce and mix and serve.❌ My MIL ordered a veg mix curry and they bought a wrong one❌ Even Panner paneer curry was bland and no taste or masala❌ All same tasteless gravy with same masala Dosa was good with chutneys- I won’t rate sambhar bcoz I’m South Indian my standards are high.☑️ BILL:- They charged us extra for 2 naans. We fought over for bill and the pathetic food. They deducted the wrong curry order OVERALL EXPERIENCE: BAD- STAY AWAY- Save your tastebuds for better food. To wash the bad taste and experience- we ended up in Oaktree for Paan and double kulfi and family pics to forget our bad family...

Saffron offers an unforgettable dining experience with its rich flavors and modern ambiance. Saffron adds a delightful touch to its premium dining experience with their complimentary jeera shots. Served as a welcome drink with coin papadums, these shots are refreshing and help set the tone for the meal. The blend of roasted cumin, tangy flavors, and cooling herbs is not only delicious but also aids digestion—a perfect start to the rich and flavorful dishes that follow. This thoughtful gesture, combined with their innovative desserts and luxurious ambiance, makes dining at Saffron truly special.

Tried their Dahi puri and Chinese bhel at Saffron was so flavorful and a perfectly spiced bhel.

Paneer butter masala and Achari Bhindi was perfectly spiced, and the Sweet Lassi was a refreshing treat. A must-visit for anyone looking for authentic North Indian cuisine. The staff at Saffron were attentive and courteous. The restaurant’s decor is inviting, making it a great spot for family dinners and celebrations. Their Dal makhni was outstanding; a true comfort food delight.Rice is served complimentary.

They serve signature desserts with a fusion twist. Saffron’s dessert menu combines tradition with modern flair, creating a unique culinary experience. The Pineapple Halwa and Jamun Rabdi is a standout fusion dessert offering a balance of tropical freshness and traditional halwa richness. A must-try for anyone looking to explore innovative flavors in a premium setting yet...

I visited Saffron, a new Indian restaurant in Piscataway, and it’s fantastic. The place has a modern and classy vibe while still feeling super cozy. Plus, it’s in a really convenient location, which is a big bonus.

The food was absolutely amazing—authentic flavors that reminded me of India. Here’s what we tried:

Manchow Soup was spicy, comforting, and had just the right crunch. Dry Manchurian was perfectly balanced with tangy and spicy flavors. Mysore Dosa was crispy, and the Sambhar it came with was so authentic it felt like a taste of South India. Paneer Kadai and Cheese Butter Masala—were rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Paired with the soft, garlicky Naan, they were perfect. For street food lovers, the Pav Bhaji and Dahi Puri were spot-on and captured the true essence of Mumbai-style flavors. Dessert was a standout—the Sitafal Ras Malai was light, creamy, and had a delicious custard apple flavor.

The service was exceptional. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian food with a modern touch, Saffron is the place to go. The flavors, the decor, and the service make it a must-visit. Highly...

*5/5 Stars: A Hidden Gem for Authentic Indian Cuisine!* I recently dined at Saffron in Piscataway, New Jersey, and was blown away by the authentic Indian flavors and exceptional attention to detail. This restaurant offers a fine dining experience at a remarkably affordable price point. The Vegetable Grilled Cheese Sandwich was a delightful surprise, served with Indian Lays chips and boasting authentic Indian taste. The Biryani was cooked to perfection, with a masterful balance of spices and juiciness. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted with a welcome drink and crispy disco papads. The Malai Tandoori Broccoli was not only delicious but also a healthy choice, beautifully garnished with edible flowers – a rare touch for this price point. The Tandoori Vegetable Sizzler was a showstopper among appetizers. For the main course, the Methi Paneer Garlic and Saffron Special Kofta Curry paired exquisitely with Naan and Kulcha, leaving us speechless. Saffron's commitment to authenticity, quality, and presentation is truly impressive. If you're craving genuine Indian flavors without breaking the bank, look no further! *Highly recommended!*

Not a good restaurant. I personally love saffron in Ahmedabad and in other locations of India. This one, is more like saffron allowed/sold their branding rights to this restaurants which was terrible in taste before. I had visited the previous restaurant at this place, it was mediocre at best. This one, is the same staff, same chef for sure, just decoration, interior and furniture has been changed. I tried the same food items I ordered with previous ownership, and it was the same taste and arrangement. Their deserts are overpriced. The item attached in the pic is supposed to be Bhel. Only item missing in the pic is chutney mix they gave alongside. And onions sample that looks empty. Noway this puffy rice with small side of sev would qualify for good bhel anyway. Lame attempt at rebranding which you still keep same chef but hike up the menu. If the prices were down then this quality okay and understandable youre targeting certain demographic. But with the prices of actual saffron calibre, combine with quantity and quality they offer is no good.
