This was an experience on 25th of November at the store at Ann Arbor, MI (48108). I was in the section with shoes and kept looking for shoes and found a Fila pair and then I asked a worker for the price because the price tag did not say a price in it. I had to wait for few mins and that is still fine and he managed to look for a price after he took the pair and returned it back to me in a box with a sticky note with a price and a code number. Then I did purchase because it looked fine when he gave me this in the box. As soon as I did the purchase when the next person was billing I felt something was not right and even before leaving the store, I walked back and said that it was given mismatched because the shoe sizes were 10 and 11 for two legs. Then the person in the cashier said that they cannot do anything and sent me to the customer service. This is not even 5 mins after the bill was closed. I saw and mentioned it soon after. Then I had to wait in a queue for the customer service and then I did explain the scene and the first person said he does not have power to do and directed me to some lady called Alice. She was not really listening to what my concern was she was tryin to act upon what she feel. Not nice at all. Horrible!!! She said that she cannot do a refund for me and instead I have to take Kohls credit or Merchandise credit or something. I said this was not my fault and this was your coworkers who messed up their job. So why should I pay for your problem. Them she was asking me to come on the next day. I am have already spend almost an hour after my purchase because she was just spending time with many other things keeping me on hold. This was such a bad experience at Kohl's and will never recommend it to a person if this is how they treat a customer. she never tried to return my money, and she was so stubborn and sticked to her word and I asked her if there is anybody like a manager I could speak to and she said that the manager is out and would not come till next week an all that. She forced me to get the merchandise credit or some sort of a card which has the return amount on it unless I want to come on the next day and try again. She just wanted to keep me waiting. And ultimately I had to settle to a card she gave me. Later I was frustrated and spoke to the cashier and he directed me to a person called Mathew and she was just passing the ball and trying to say that is just a bad day. That's all. Alice was a Horrible and very bad customer servant. I wish I never meet her in my life for any reason. Mathew was not helpful at all either but my main complaint is about the lady who was super rude and showed her attitude...
Read moreI went to Kohl's with my Best friend Terri this evening and had an okay experience, until we went up to check out at the check out lane by the customer service. Well, Terri had witness something that took place while she was trying to be helped. This new cashier who was born with a birth defect with her two arms, one cashier who was there with her had made a rude comment about her arms being just like mine. Well, I didn't realize that she was talking about me at first when I first walked in. I thought I heard the comment wrong, but it turned out to be correct with what I had heard. Well, anyways, the girl was being disrespected by that Cashier who had just started a few days ago, with the way she was given a gift from God and she impressed me with how well she did as a cashier. I couldn't believe how rude this other cashier was to her. Made the new girl with the birth defect who should have been recognized for how wonderful of a job she was doing. I couldn't believe that the cashier who made the rude comment made the new cashier to get on her hands and knees, knowing she was in a dress to reach for something, like hangers and stuff. That seemed really odd for me to see. Anyway, We both talked to Amy who is the shift manager and she said that she will take care of this incodent and hopefully the girl who was very disrespectful to her will either be fired or have a savor displinary action on this. I feel so bad for the new cashier. I hope that she gets recognized for her hard work and what she is able to do, is far more impressive than those who have regular arm lengths with no problems. I wish I was able to talk to her after this, but she left crying and all embarressed about this whole situation. Please let her know that she is not alone. The world is so cruel these days and I am so sorry for her and what she has to endure from people at her own job. That's a shame. I hope you all take the right action to fix this for her, or else you guys may end up seeing lawsuit in place if this doesn't get fixed....
Read moreKohl's has always been my go-to store because the deals are fantastic, and I love being able to stack coupons. On my recent visit, I carefully selected a few items and calculated my budget, planning to use a coupon. Unfortunately, I didnât realize the coupon had expired until the associate pointed it out. While Iâm usually thorough about checking those details, mistakes happen. I try to be mindful of not inconveniencing others, especially knowing how challenging retail work can be, so I genuinely didnât mean to add to her workload.
When I realized the total was over my budget, I told the associateâa shorter, older woman with a short haircutâthat I wouldnât be purchasing the items. Her response caught me off guard. She grunted, grabbed the items, and turned away without saying a word. Her frustration in having to put back the items and even service me was clear.
I fully acknowledge that it was my mistake for not checking the couponâs expiration date, and I take responsibility for that. However, as someone with experience in customer service, I believe you can be cordial (I don't expect employees to be overly friendly because not all customers are friendly, to begin with). I wasnât rude to her, so her attitude seemed unwarranted. Everyone makes mistakes, and it shouldnât be an issue if a customer decides not to purchase something that exceeds...
