I have lost a lot of weight this past year and I have two pairs of khakis and a pair of jeans that needed to be taken in on the legs and cuffs shortened. Since these were newer pants, the waist was just fine. The seamstress(extremely friendly, efficient and helpful) fitted all my pants while I stood there and after we agreed when I would pick them up, I left the store. A few days before picking those clothes up, I received an email purchase of another pair of pants, and due to my waist and inseam, they automatically shipped "relaxed fit", which I no longer need. I brought those pants with me when I returned to pick up the other three pants that had been altered. When I explained to her about the new pair, she used an altered pair of khakis as a guide to measure both the leg alterations and cuff of the new pair. I tried on the altered jeans, figuring that if they fit correctly, the khakis would be just fine. The jeans were perfect! Just what I was looking for. I'll be picking up the last pair of altered pants in a few days and I'm sure they will be just fine. Very fair prices for all the alterations I had done and are happy to work with you on when you want to pick up your garments. Review Update: Three days ago I returned to this shop with the three pairs of previously altered slacks. I explained to Yen that I would like the legs taken in a bit more, as I felt they were still a little too "baggy". I brought along a newer pair of slacks that fit the way I wanted the three other pair to fit as a guide . Yen took all four pair and told me that they'd be ready Friday(three days hence). As promised, all three re-altered slacks were ready and I tried them all on but not before Yen explained that the "test" pair I left (for measurement) was cut different than the other slacks, but she did the best she could to make the alterations and still have a good look to them. Mission accomplished! They all fit the way I wanted! As I was leaving...Yen was on the phone, but asked the caller to hold for a short minute. Yen thanked me for coming back and when I made a motion to get my wallet for payment, she looked at me wide-eyed and said, "No, no, no!!! No charge...we stand by our work!". I had all intents of paying for the re-alterations. I again said I should surely pay something, as it was my fault that I was returning, not from anything they hadn't done. This time she looks me straight in the eye and says," I will be upset if you try to pay me!". Well, far be it from me to insult a person who takes their work so personally and professionally. I asked if I could have some business cards which she gladly handed me and I offered and received a very sincere and grateful hug from this most gracious woman. The owners, Ann and Andy, are lovely people—friendly, honest, hard-working with a great work ethic. I brought a bunch of items that needed tailoring—from simple items that needed sleeve length and pant legs shortened to much more complex items such as a high-end blazer jacket and designer down coat that needed more complicated tailoring and detailed work done (the piping needed to be reset to look exactly as the original and the notching on the sleeve needed to be crafted exactly like the original once the sleeve was shortened). It was my first time going to this tailor, and I couldn't be more pleased. I took a beautiful dress that I'm wearing to a wedding, but it wasn't clear that the fitting issue would be easily remedied. Ann was wonderful - she gave me different price options of how to take care of it, and offered to do it in a day so that I would still be able to return the dress if we weren't successful. After alteration the dress fits perfectly and the price was extremely reasonable.
