I chose to order from Griffin’s Floral after reading all the glowing reviews … I was sure disappointed. I ordered wind chimes for my husband’s co-worker who recently lost his son to be delivered a day before the service to the funeral home handling the arrangements. The wind chimes were not delivered to the church until day of the service and only 30 minutes before the service was to start. After talking to an employee at Griffin’s Floral, she explained why they changed the delivery date and location , even though they didn’t notify me of this change. I can understand the reasoning for the change but I think arriving 30 minutes before the service was to start is unacceptable. They can’t even be sure the wind chimes were put out. I didn’t even get an “I’m sorry “ , they just acknowledged that they were late delivering the wind chimes and said they were waiting on the funeral director to call them to make sure they were put out for the service.
This is a huge disappointment because you can’t resend to a funeral service to get it right. They acknowledged that they were late but offered no compensation for their mistake. So much for their 100%...
Read moreI recently heard about their Saint Paddy’s day class on flower arranging. At first, I thought it was a little expensive for a class, because I do similar ones at the conservatory and other locations like studio 614. However, Griffin’s really did a great job at elevating a class into a full experience. Not only did we make a high-quality flower arrangement with a house plant located inside, but they provided us with five different wine and Prosecco samplings, as well as a lovely charcuterie, board salads, and desserts. In addition, the class was small, but lively. They had three staff members help with giving us education on the wines, education on the flowers, and the history of Griffin‘s florals. Honestly, it was a wonderful evening for me and my mother. I would definitely do these again, and I think what separates this from other classes is that they really bring that small business feel to the table. Read moreMy original review was less than favorable because I was very dissatisfied with the roses that were delivered to my daughter for her birthday. In hindsight, I realize that I probably should’ve contacted Griffin florists personally and addressed the issue with them. Fortunately though, they read my review and I received an email from the president of the company Russ Griffin. I expressed my dissatisfaction to him personally and within three hours my daughter received a new bouquet that was absolutely beautiful. It’s hard to tell what happened with the original bouquet whether it was damaged during delivery or whatever, the point is they made it right. Not all companies do that. I really gained a lot of respect for the way they handled this and will not hesitate to use them every year when I send my birthday girl her flowers. Thanks Russ for making everything right.
