I made appointments for 2 pedicures at 2 pm. I made the appointments online at 10 am as past experience indicates that they rarely answer their phone. I used to go to this salon frequently, but it’s been a while because the last time I went was not enjoyable and the results were not good, but I was given a gift certificate for nail service for my birthday from my kids and decided to give the salon another try. I was immediately surprised by how empty and quiet it was for mid afternoon on a Saturday ahead of a holiday week. When we checked in, they didn’t have my information correct despite my scheduling the appointments online, a process which should have made the right information easily available and overcome any potential language barrier. We were taken to two chairs and instructed to put our feet in the water in the soaking bowls. There was nail dust and skin debris from past customers on the seats of the chairs, the arm rests, the foot rests, and the pillows stacked on another chair. The water was cold and about ankle deep for me, and cold and barely deep enough to wet the bottom of my friend’s feet. The controls for the chairs were sticky, crusty and dusty due to build up of prior users and obviously not being cleaned between services. After about 10 minutes sitting there without notice, I was finally able to get the host’s attention (he was “busy” standing at the front desk looking through photo galleries on the computer) and I mentioned the cold water. He came over and put a little warm water in each bowl and left us again with no indication when we might be tended to. The warm water got cold as we continued to sit there for another 15 minutes with no attention or explanation of when we might be provided service. There were three other customers at chairs receiving service in the rear of the salon, part of a larger group, with others of the party who were just sitting there, hanging out. There only appeared to be the three technicians, and the host, staffing the salon. It was clear from the stage of their service that they were only about half way done and it would be at least another 15 minutes before they would be done. We thought maybe other techs would be available from the back break room soon, and so we waited….At 2:35 with no change in progress over 30 minutes after our appointment time, and no follow up by the host, we decided to leave. We walked in to another nail salon at 2:45, were immediately attended to, received excellent service, and were done in an hour, with two higher cost pedicures completed ($120), $30 tips left for the technicians, and a much better review for...
Read moreI brought my daughter here. This was our 1st time. This place has been here for a long time. A little while back they had some problems apparently apparently according to the reviews. Based off of those issues that I read I did not see anything here that was negative at all. The place seemed very clean and was highly occupied. They had a lot of equipment here. It was very well decorated. There was a large number of staff. There are cameras everywhere for everyone's safety. They offer what seems to be a complimentary open bar happy hour type deal as long as the services are being done and everything seems to be within reason. My daughter got the pedicure and the manicure. Her color choices were what I would consider beyond reasonable. They had colors there that are not even sure exist. There was also a lot of fine detailed artwork going on on the nails which that is not something I'm very familiar with but I was very impressed with the images and pictures and the work they were doing. My daughter said she was very comfortable the entire time and she was well attended to. I'm not sure if the prices are high or low here but I was very confident and felt good for what I paid for what the services and her happiness that she received. I will totally bring my daughter back here again and I think I will bring 1 or 2 of her friends so that it is a little party. I can't compliment or say one nice thing about just 1 person as there were several different people that worked on her and there were several people that came by to see how we were doing. I am sorry I'm not posting pictures but there's other people there getting stuff done and I think there was too many people to post some pictures and I don't want to invade someone else's privacy as this is kind of you know a spa thing and I'm not going to do that. If we happen to be there next time and it is not so full and I have permission from them to take pictures I will do so and post them. I don't receive services here but my daughter does as of now and I would highly recommend this...
Read moreKris did my nails once and they were amazing. She took her time and understood that I wanted to maintain my natural nail health.
The next time, I went in for a gel pedicure and polish change on my nails. Kris wasn’t available. I requested to soak my current polish off to avoid the drill. They let my nails soak for about 5 minutes before going to town with the nail filer. Then, polished my nails without dusting them after filing. So I have many tiny bumps/air bubbles. I was already annoyed and tired of having to check every little detail. I wasn’t able to relax at all.
My pedicure came out what seemed to be fine. However, the next day three of my toenails were chipping. So I went back up to the salon and requested they fix them.
I’ve never felt more rushed in my life. The guy buffed down my current polish, slapped a coating of polish on my toes, and cured them for hardly 30 seconds. Then he rubbed them very lightly and sent me on about my way. However I noticed WET gel polish seeping out the sides, to my cuticle. He reassured me that it was fine.
When I stepped outside, I added more pressure and sure enough the layer of polish came right off and revealed the wet, uncured gel polish.
Went back inside, a kind lady fixed one toenail. Today, one week later it still looks fresh. But the other two toenails chipped back off and I have too much of a busy schedule to go to the nail shop 3x a week.
All in all, I feel that some of the workers are lazy and rush their work and I won’t be returning. I spent $80+ on a mani/pedi that didn’t even last one week. 2 stars because they SEEMED nice and kind when I went in for it to get fixed. Never know what they’re really...
