The food was good, but one of the workers there got irritated with us. The soda didn't taste right (it was kinda flat and had a weird metallic taste), and the cashier tasted it too and agreed that it wasn't right. He offered us a refund for the sodas, I asked if we could get coupons for free drinks for next time instead. He said that he doesn't have that, but gave us free burger coupons instead. that was great. My partner just didn't want to have to deal with getting a refund, and we would've been happy with getting the drinks next time, but he offered the burger coupons.
Well after that this man in a black shirt with a beard went came from behind the counter and check the soda. He didn't taste it, just looked at it and asked "which one is flat" and I told him the ones I had. he said "they're not flat, there's soda in the machine" and i just said "okay, it didn't taste right to me" and ignored him. the rest of the time we were waiting for our food he kept glaring over at me, and was clearly irritated with us. It really felt like he didn't think I had anything to complain about, and was irritated I wanted something done. I don't appreciate the hostility. my partner, myself, and the cashier all agreed that it didn't taste right, but man in the black shirt thinks that he can look at it and tell me it's okay. Idk if he thought I was scamming them but the attitude displayed by beard and black shirt was bothersom.
So to clarify cashier I green shirt was great, other person with beard in black shirt...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWow! First time we've had Country Burger and we left very impressed.
If you've never been there I'm sure you're wondering what the burger is like. Well, I had the Country Burger with cheese and it tasted like a charbroiled Whataburger to me. It's such a great way to elevate the taste of a regular Whataburger sandwich by having those crunchy bits on the patty that it's crazy that no one else has thought of this before.
The fries on the other hand were ok, but I can see why a lot of people seem to choose to get chili and cheese on them. They're good, but don't have a ton of flavor on their own.
While a great burger and decent fries would probably get a 4 star rating from me, the reason they get 5 is for the service. We felt incredibly welcomed and appreciated by not only the cashier, but the gentleman sweeping the floors, and the other people working in the kitchen that interacted with us. If any of you see this review, thank you.
I'm with a few other reviewers for this Country Burger location; if you're in the area (and looking for a good burger), you'd be better off going here than anywhere else. Sure they might be a couple of dollars more expense than a fast food chain, but what they give you in return...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBest burgers and pulled pork sandwiches in North Texas!!! Plus delicious shakes and great air conditioning in a casual environment.
Dad brought me here years ago for the hamburgers (his favorite meal) which are great. But once I ordered the pulled pork sandwich, I was hooked. It reminded me of what I used to buy in Mississippi.
How much do I like the food at this family owned restaurant? I just drove from Ft Worth to get my pulled pork fix!
The pulled pork sandwich comes in two sizes: HUGE (which I think they call āregularā) and junior size. The photo shows Half of the āregularā size. I put the ketchup bottle near the sandwich so you could get a sense for size.
Note: they put coleslaw on the pork but I ask that it be put on the side.
Great place for families, singles and meeting friends for discussions.
I included photos of prices and all of their selections. After all, one day Iām bound to try other options š
Iāll try to upload a photo of the cute picture in the womanās restroom of a bull with flowers. It brought a...
