Only leaving a 4 star review because Jessie requested a 1 star review to make his Google reviews more “authentic” 😂. However I can’t do that because we had a great experience. He was able to fit in 3 of us with one days notice and we are all very satisfied with our haircuts! The salon is cozy and homey, clean and decorated simply with plants and good books. The star of the show is the shop cat Munji who is sweet and friendly. Jessie is also very friendly and talkative and will give you the best advice on the haircut for your hair type. He knows Asian hair of all kinds. My hair is straight and he recommended a good haircut for me, and my sisters hair is wavy/curly, and he also cut a flattering curtain bang on her. He gave us free washes and also spent a lot of time on styling at the end. Truly a 5 star experience, but deducting 1 star only because I can’t bring Munji home (and bc he asked) 🤪

EDIT: I have to bring it back to 5 stars. Following up on my review a few months later, I have gotten so many compliments on my haircut from Jesse! He truly did a great job that LASTS - it doesn’t just look good after the styling but even when I put in no effort or styling. I think Ive found a home base for all future haircuts...

I recently visited J Hair Salon for a haircut and I have to say, it was one of the best salon experiences I've ever had! From start to finish, everything was just perfect. The salon itself is beautiful and well-kept, with a modern and chic atmosphere that instantly made me feel relaxed.

The staff at J Hair Salon are truly outstanding. Not only are they incredibly professional and skilled, but they're also so charismatic and friendly! From the moment I walked in, I felt like I was in good hands. They took the time to listen to what I wanted and made suggestions that were spot-on.

My stylist was a true professional, and I could tell that he was passionate about his work. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why, and made sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire process. The end result was a haircut that was exactly what I wanted - and then some!

I understand that Jesse is desperate for a one star review to make reviews more authentic so perhaps what happened to me was intentional? Because I really don’t understand how my request for a low fuss hairdo resulted to now spending at least 30 minutes a day plus using product to tame my hair. I used to spend less than 5 minutes, no product. I requested a straight hair cut, some texture, and cut past my collarbone and even showed photos. These are same photos I show my stylist in Carrollton (I was trying to find a stylist closer to me).
