I went there to get a 90 minutes body/feet/head(not incl in a combo. Strange, bc a head is part of body)massage. FYI, every foot massage( reflexology)spa Iâve been to, they did massage my head, but this is a first. I used to come here when it was Foot Care and my massage guy and the sweet young lady that sat at the front desk were the best. I was so sad to find out that they no longer work here. I wished I knew where they went. Anyway, they had me check in on an iPad and when I chose 90 minutes combo, there were no prices on there which I found it weird and I noticed there was no pricing for the services they provide inside the establishment. Do they make up prices as they go along? I recommend to ask how much it costs prior to your services commence, bc you donât want surprises. Mine wasnât a surprise, but it was $100 plus I gave the lady $25 tip. The young man at the front desk didnât seem too friendly and I didnât get the good vibe and the lady owner was nice, but she passed me over to another lady after 15 minutes of session, but I was glad, bc I could tell she wasnât an experienced therapist, bc I went to school for massage, so I could tell if itâs gonna be a good massage from the first 10 minutes or so. The lady who took over was better, but I wished she massaged my neck/shoulders/ buttocks, arms, hands and fingers more , bc I carry more tensions on those areas. Apparently, the lady owner had told her I like deep pressure, so she kept asking me more harder, so I really appreciated it and I did tell her she has good hands. I gave 4 stars for the above reasons. The establishment itself is very nice. Itâs very bright inside now where before, it was dark which was fine, bc I liked the ambiance and the darkness made me feel relaxed. I liked the massage bed and foot stool better at the previous establishment. They also donât do the foot soak prior to foot massage. Maybe, this establishment is a spa and not too focused on reflexology, IDK. Itâs like going to a seafood restaurant and ordering a steak or burger. Thatâs my analogy. My massage was very relaxing, but when she was done, I didnât feel like I used to feel. I really missed my guy therapist! He was the best! I used to tip him $40 on $70 90 mins combo, bc after it was done, I felt sooo good and he worked very hard and massage is a lot of work, I know. Iâd tip extremely generous if they do a great job. Iâm not sure if I would return or recommend this place to anyone, but everyone is different and thatâs bc it wasnât to my liking due to higher price and lack of accommodation may not be same for others. I just have a very high expectation when it comes to massage/reflexology, bc I know what I like and I liked Foot Care very much and I came here every 2 weeks or month...
Read moreMy husband got me a head spa as a birthday gift on Groupon. The service itself was great. I would have written a great review about that- but the service itself was out shadowed by the awful experience I had at the end.
My husband had dropped me off and was on his way to pick me up. He had my purse and wallet in his car- I planned to leave a decent tip because it was a decent service. He told me he was almost there so I walked into the front lobby and told the lady who did my service âthank you so much. That was really greatâ then I had a woman (who didnât do my service) cut me off and say âyou didnât pay yetâ I was confused because they had already redeemed my Groupon. So I told her âoh I redeemed a Groupon serviceâ she said âNO. Groupon doesnât pay full service. You need to pay more on tip. You pay cash or card?â The girl who did my service stood silent beside her. I said âum ok. My husband has my wallet i donât have it on me. I planned to get cash to tip when he gets here. Heâs almost hereâŠ.â She just glared at me. So I asked âCan you do cashapp or something?â A third woman comes up from the back and said âyou need to tip. Do you have Apple Pay?â And I said âyeahâ and she said âfine. You have to pay a credit card fee too. How much are you tipping?â
At this point I was so uncomfortable I told them that I had already paid for the service via Groupon and did plan to tip when I got my wallet. They all kept telling me I need to tip now to pay for my service. I said Iâd wait until my husband got there. They all 3 stood around me talking to each other in another language just glaring at me.
Iâm a former bartender. Iâm huge on tipping. However having multiple employees surround someone in a lobby and DEMANDING they tip and that the service wasnât paid in full until they received more money is NOT ok.
My husband went in with a much smaller cash tip than I had planned on giving originally. He told them I enjoyed my service and planned to leave a much larger tip before they surrounded me and tried to intimidate me. They laughed and...
Read moreI just saw the ownerâs responseâhow dare you twist the facts?
First, massage pressure was NOT the problem. Itâs not about language. The issue was your so-called "head massage" felt like a regular shampoo. Donât try to deflect with irrelevant excuses.
Second, we repeatedly asked your staff if we needed to remove makeup, and they said no. Then you steamed our faces anyway, causing makeup to sink into our pores. Thatâs basic skincare common senseâyou donât steam over makeup! Stop pretending it only affects the scalp.
Third, you refused to blow-dry our hair, claiming the store was too busy. We were the LAST customers of the day. No one else was even there! That excuse is simply ridiculous.
Fourth, you absolutely pressured me into tipping. I clearly said I had no cash. You pushed me to use card or Apple Pay. Thatâs not âsuggesting optionsââthatâs coercion. And stop lying: I NEVER said your service was good. Thatâs a complete fabrication. I only paid the $10 tip because you cornered me and made me feel I had no choice.
Youâre not addressing issuesâyouâre gaslighting customers and being dishonest in public responses. Whatâs more shocking is that several other customersâespecially local Americansâhave also raised concerns about your forced tipping tactics, and yet you choose to ignore them completely while jumping to respond defensively only to Chinese customers.
This double standardâbeing silent toward others but aggressively trying to silence your own communityâis not just disappointing, it's shameful. Truly a pathetic display of selective accountability.
Avoid this place at all costs. Terrible service, dishonest practices, and a toxic attitude toward...
