Geektopia — Local services in Plano

Bit self conscious considering my review is more negative than positive in comparison to the other reviews. However, I will still be honest. The store is in a good location, it is easy to access and for the most part, it is not a bad store. However, I found it a bit awkward with the owner/worker at hand policing how people entered. The prices on things were typical for these sorts of stores, and it felt more like a hang-out spot for the owner to display things to organize sales through the website.

For the size, the store was clean, was a bit stale in terms of air quality, but this is Texas, and the only issue was the owner kind of lounging around? He gave the impression that he did not want to be bothered, and sighed when I came in and was looking around.

I didn't really enjoy my experience at geektopia so the owner had some packs in the counter for tcg prices which I'll pass on bc I'll buy it in another store at $5 instead of $8 there. What really hurt was I guess he wanted to mark up his single pokémon binder prices and as a potential customer I believe he should've let me look through the ones he already checked but he was reluctant. Instead of being for the community this guy is more about money and pushing potential customers away. The whole store has a little stagnant air as well. I'll give it 2 stars bc the selection is nice but the owner isn't open to selling singles until he reprices...

Great store. Great owner, great funkos and collection. Me and my gf went pop hunting and stopped here 30 minutes before close and was greeted warmly. We ended up buying $200 worth of pops which were marked reasonably, he gave us a great deal without bankrupting himself and offered a free gift. Wasn't told I couldn't touch anything nor was the child who came in afterwards. People need to be more considerate of others and their situation, you don't need to be served hand and foot. Will...
