Update: so today, my big brother went shopping at horizon market for chicken, he got what he needed, and went to checkout, at the checkout he had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Vishal. My brother paid for his items but forgot to grab the item from the carousel. My big bro came back home and didn't even remember tht he has forgotten the chicken he had paid for at the store UNTIL the owner of the store (Vishal) came to our house and gave him the chicken he had forgot... The owner of the store went completely out of his way to find my brothers address and personally delivered the item he had forgot.. now tell me, which owner of a store does this?!? Like wow! What customer service! Always loved this place, and today I have a complete new level of respect for the owner and this place.. I want everyone to please visit this store and do business with this owner. Great guy! Great place! Thank you Vishal.
Great prices! Great selection, and MOST importantly GREAT customer service! The owner is very friendly! He is always there to welcome his customers and always takes care of you, he is not your ordinary owner who sits in the office all day, he is out and about and involved in the daily operation! A huge shout out to my guy Paul! (Meat cutter), he is always friendly and always ready to help! Always smiles and you will never catch him in a bad mood! Overall, great place! I left Oasis meat market for this place! They are the best in every category! Thank you Horizon...

Read moreRelatively new place with management still in the balancing act regarding inventory selection. Nice bakery section with freshly baked bread, boregi, wraps and more. Lack of variety in the external supply of bread was a disappointment. Only basic Bazlama and Pita were available. Pogaca was in the frozen section. Simmit and Lavash were in-house bakery section. Why not get bake small quantities of Katmer, Fatir and Gozleme?
Took the beef boregi home and my better half immediately discerned that the quality of the in-house bakery was far superior to the popular frozen equivalent.
Actually, I went to see if Kurut was available. It was and I did buy a packet! Many thanks but where can I get Fatir a la Turkiye?
The coffee section was a disappointment but the dominant brand, of course, was present.
The frozen desserts were in abundance as were the regional fizzy varieties.
The butcher's handiwork was nicely displayed with marbling somewhat visible in the various cuts of beef. Would love to see some Bosporus Bass though.
In short, a nice neighborhood store for some and a specialty store for the rest of us when we are in the experiment mood. Most importantly, earnestly hope that management can...
