More modern toys and not that much vintage in the store. Prices are marked up high which Iâm use to when it comes to independently owned toy stores, but when I saw $49.99 for BRAND NEW ML when retail for it $22-$25?!?! Thatâs when I thought the pricing was absurd. $5-$10 increase from retail is what Iâd expect from independently owned toy stores when it comes to 6-7 inch figures, $15 tops. But double the price for each NEW RELEASE is pretty silly. BAFs and Loose figures are pretty messy behind the counter too, donât know what they have and canât go behind the register to see them. Again, other toy stores bag them and put them on wall pegs. I understand some toys with higher value are held behind the counter but BAFS (should be in case) and Lucyâs(should be bagged on wall pegs) shouldnât apply behind the register spread throughout one massive shelf. Location is bad too, good foot traffic mall but itâs located in the corner outside of a department store but that section where itâs located can easily be missed. Also, doubt that the 5 stars given are legit, heard the owner or it couldâve been one of the employees ask a customer while I was there if they can give them a good rating on google (heard them say it twice to two different people) This isnât a malicious review, nothing wrong was said to me nor did anyone there give me any negative experience. Strictly basing my review on what Iâve seen here compared to other toys stores Iâve been to throughout the years.
Note to the owner: If youâre going to reply back, I hope itâs not a defensive response. Based on the feedback youâve given from the other 1 star...
Read moreWent here a few times hoping for improvement but it was the opposite. Prices for figures are doubled that of retail( I know the owner goes around, buys for retail or less doing so all around the metroplex). The setup is meh, nothing really special and is lacking in good finds at times. Customer service is mediocre at best. The selling process is ehh, went in once and saw someone bring in a bunch of figures that were harder to find and a vast amount of them as well, was extremely undervalued and the boss has to be in to buy, which I never see there. Better to go around and look for your figures or to buy online.
If you are going to reply to this, don't be defensive. Edit: Since they decided to reply back, I am a separate individual from the people you are talking about. I have been to your store a number of times and it has been underwhelming in many aspects, not worth the trip I take. You can say what you would like about going around, but a lot of the collector community has spotted you and told me of you taking exclusives and even telling others to "come to my shop if you want these" right when they hit shelves. The review is an honest one and I'm just telling others of my experiences of...
Read moreJayden's Toys is the to go place. Ive been collecting toys for years. Everything from the 70s to current times. The staff at Jayden's are always helpful and knowledgeable. Im a huge supporter of small businesses because yes you can buy from a big box store but you will have to deal with all the driving around wasting time and money on gas and hope the big box will have the toys your looking for. We like Jayden's because they always have the toys we are looking for and save time and money. To the person that said Jayden's is overpriced....you obviously don't have any knowledge of prices. Jayden's is extremely fair on all their prices. If you can't afford something maybe you may need to get a job at Gamestop I've been to almost all the toy stores throughout North and south Texas and can say Jayden's is beyond fair on his prices. We will always be supportive of Jayden because he has always been a stand up guy that has always sold us quality products and he is always looking for more toys to take care of our plastic addition. Thank you to all the staff and Jayden...keep up the good work and don't sweat...
