I had an absolutely incredible experience at Piada Italian Street Food in Plano, and I can’t say enough about the exceptional service and genuine kindness I encountered here. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, but it was the outstanding staff—particularly Jovany—that made this visit truly unforgettable.
I was picking up food for a dear friend who’s been unwell, and I mentioned this in passing while ordering. Jovany, who was helping me at the counter, not only listened with genuine care but went above and beyond in a way I never expected. In an act of pure generosity, he took it upon himself to cover the cost of my meal. I was floored by this kindness—it wasn’t just about the gesture, but the heartfelt intention behind it. It’s rare to encounter such selflessness, and it turned a simple takeout order into a moment of real human connection that lifted my spirits during a tough time.
What made the experience even more special was getting to know Jovany a bit. He shared that he’s a fighter, training in MMA, UFC, and grappling, and his passion for his craft was inspiring. We also connected over shared values—I mentioned being a Christian and a believer, and Jovany was incredibly supportive and encouraging. His positivity and warmth made me feel like I was chatting with a friend rather than just placing an order. I wished him the best of luck in his fighting career, and I truly mean it—this guy has a heart of gold and a bright future ahead.
The food, of course, was fantastic as always—fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. But what sets this Piada location apart is the people. The entire team was friendly, efficient, and clearly dedicated to making every customer feel valued. Jovany’s kindness and the genuine care from the staff turned a difficult day into one filled with hope and gratitude. This is the kind of place that doesn’t just serve food—they serve compassion and community.
I wholeheartedly recommend Piada in Plano to anyone looking for not only delicious Italian street food but also an experience that feels like a warm hug. Whether you’re grabbing a quick bite or, like me, stopping by in a moment of need, you’ll leave feeling uplifted. Thank you, Jovany, and the entire Piada team, for reminding me that kindness can shine through even in the smallest interactions.

I absolutely love this diamond in the suburban ruff I found in Plano, Texas. I'd driven by many times and finally decided to stop in one day. So many people were walking out with full bags and hearty smiles that I stopped in as well.
I came in to a menu of options for some of the best and most affordable Italian street food you can find.
I feel in love with simple yet tasty variations of pasta bowls rotating between penne and spaghetti noodle options.
Also, they have a variety of meat options (crispy chicken, steak, grilled chicken, salmon and more). Additionally they offer healthier options including at least 15-20 different tasty veggie options including accommodations for vegetarian and vegans.
On top of good food the service here is top notch. When I come in whether eating on-site, or grabbing something to go I leave with a smile from the service and interactions with caring staff and even other nice customers.
The service here is so great, and the line stays so clean even though I live closer to another location (about 12-15 minutes away), I'll still drive to this location whenever I can for the wonderful experience.
Today, I was greeted and blessed with smiles and warm welcomes and service from Jovany and Ahmaria. Keep up the great service, serving good food that's healthy for you, and I'll look forward to seeing...
Read moreActually stopped at this location to get satay that was offered by the previous establishment but decided to go in and discover what this new vendor provides. I did not immediately associate the name Piada with piadinas, which I'd heard of in Italy but had never sampled. The fact the first piada listed featured avocado, which is not something I like, also pushed me down the menu. I wound up selecting the Diavolo Pasta (to go) and asked for the smaller portion. I was advised that a special that day was the big bowl for the same price as the smaller and I agreed to that upgrade. I wound up with more food than my appetite required as even the smaller bowl is a hearty enough "street food". I am glad I did not add any grilled meat as warming up the leftovers didn't seem a great idea later on. The spice was modest and the taste was good but not great. I would probably have better enjoyed a piada if I'd better understood those. And I will definitely drop by again and try one. The facility is bright and clean and the staff were obviously pleased with their workplace and made me feel most welcomed. I wish I had seen this place online first and been better informed...
