I had high expectations for Maple Bacon but ended up sorely disappointed. The food lacked taste and was room temperature at best when it was served. I ordered the Maple Bacon Fried Steak Waffles along with a side of the potato pancakes. The food was served quickly, but looking back, I'm wondering if it was too quick and if the food is pre-prepared or packaged since none of the items in the two dishes were hot. In fact, they weren't even warm. The waffles tasted like cardboard and were as tough to cut into as cardboard. I had to use a fork and a knife to cut into the waffles, and I had to go overboard with the syrup to get them to soften up. I'm fine with crispy edges to waffles, but they should be fluffy. These were not. I didn't even try to add butter to them because the butter would not have melted at all since there was zero heat to the waffles, even once cut into. The fried steak was bland and dry. I had ordered the white gravy on the side, but that should not have negatively impacted the taste and texture of the fried steak. It was tough to cut into and had no taste unless I dipped it into the white gravy, which had a hint of a peppery taste to it. The bacon was undercooked, flimsy, and floppy. The potato pancakes are not real latkes but are instead quite mealy in texture and taste. I know not everyone (especially in the south) can do Jewish potato pancakes correctly, so I'll give a pass on this as I was purposely trying them out to see if they might be the real deal. Suffice it to say that if you are looking for good, quality potato pancakes that a Jewish grandmother would be proud of, these aren't it. The tastiest part of the meal was the glazed donut perched on top of the waffle, steak, and bacon tower. It was soft and melted in your mouth. But it was cool, as if it had been cooked the night before and had been sitting out on a counter for half the morning. Then again, it's probably pretty tough to mess up a glazed donut. What was incredibly disappointing and frustrating was that I paid $34 for the meal, including a 15% tip, and I feel that a $5 McDonald's breakfast would have had better taste. There are a ton of breakfast/brunch restaurants in the area that far exceed the quality of this one and at a much more realistic and fair cost to the consumer. To me, this was a waste of my money, and I won't be back. Also, the waitress did not do a bad job, but she didn't do a terrific job either. It's like she did the bare minimum of what she needed to do and with as bland of an attitude as possible--not mean, not nice, just there to take the order, bring water, bring food, refill water, make sure we didn't need something additional, bring the check, run our cards. I don't necessarily mind that, but I'm also spending $19.98 for a main dish, so my expectations for the experience are much more than what I received. I won't waste my time, money, or tastebuds on this place again. It's a shame because it seems like it could be so much better (and it seems like so many others have gotten so much better . . . or their...

Underwhelming. Business name, decor, and atmosphere showed great promise. The menu was full of so many delightful things--it's one of those places where you want one of everything on the menu. However, the service was horrible. I'd chalk this up to a combination of lack of training, lack of supervision, and possibly short staffing.
One waitress was handling 6-10 tables. I think she did her best but she can only do so much alone. The team member who brought out the food just tried to put it in front of you, even if you were already eating the previous course. No training at all for this issue. 2 of us at a 4-top table?--just set it down over there in all that empty space, Sir. When we got our order taken, the waitress asked if we needed more time to choose to which I quickly said, "No, we've got to go soon." I had coffee refilled twice. My wife had tea refilled 0 times. No water refills either. Reuben sandwich came out without thousand island, and I finally got it after 10 minutes. After we were finished eating, we sat for 10 more minutes waiting for wait staff to bring the check (remember I told them "we've got to go..."), and see if we needed take out boxes. There was one staff member stuff sweetener packets and refilling condiments at empty tables, with zero situational awareness of several tables who were done eating and the one waitress could not do everything herself. I finally got up and stood by the front door as if I were a newly arriving customer. Only then did this one staff member jump up to see if I needed a table. That's how I got to ask for to-go boxes and my check.
We tipped based on the service we got but there was no place on the payment form (online system) to give feedback. I think the waitress was set up for failure because her teammates had no training, no customer awareness, and there was no manager supervising.
Super disappointing. Gimmicks, fun atmosphere, and unique menus will bring people in, but without good service, they'll never come back. We will not be recommending this place to family...
