Parkway Tavern and Grill — Restaurant in Plano

I came here looking for the spicy calamari and found out the online menu didn't match the actual menu, bummer. When I asked the bartender, I think his name was Mike, about the item, he apologized and stated that a lot of people call asking for items that's on the menu at the location in New Orleans, I don't want them that bad, so I ordered the fried pickles and chicken tenders. I placed my food order, and it came out quickly, it was nice and hot. The pickles were nicely seasoned which i really enjoyed but the tenders didn't taste seasoned at all and some of the parts were too crispy and hard to chew felt as if I was chewing pebbles. Honestly though it was only one tender that tasted like that, the rest were pretty good. The bar has a great neighborhood bar vibe that's makes it feels welcoming. You can tell some of the patrons or regulars because the staff knew a lot of them by name. The staff was very attentive, when Mike noticed my glass was empty, he didn't hesitate to ask if I wanted another one. Also, Heather noticed also and even though she wasn't the bartender waiting on me, she refilled my drink also, they are on point. Also Saturday night is karaoke which is also great so make sure you have your songs to sing. My only negating was the old guy with the raspy voice acting like he owned the place, you can tell he's a regular he even tried to get me to move my seat but besides for that, great place great...

Stopped here for lunch because the hubby's Mom was in the hospital and it's close by. And we made the right decision! The food was fantastic! Hubby had the Brisket Baked Potato and it was huge and covered with all the good stuff and PLENTY of Brisket (no skimpy little bits here!) He reclaimed his membership to the "Clean Plate of the Week" club. I had the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich and it was delicious!!! I'm normally wary of sandwiches and rarely eat the entire thing, but I did this time. The bread was soft and the steak and veggies were juicy and flavorful... YAY for a grill that understands that spices are important! And it was so cheesy that it had melty cheese threads when I picked it up. Perfection!!! And the fries are wonderful!!! Real Fries that Michelle said are hand cut fresh... and they taste like it. Honestly, right now, I'm full and content for the moment and I'm going to enjoy this while I can.

Even better, though, the prices aren't extravagant and won't break the bank. So, if you're in the area and want a damned good lunch or something to eat with a decent drink, come talk to Michelle. She's awesome and sassy and will definitely make you...

First time here. Great atmosphere. Awsome talent on karaoke night. Luv it ! The staff here . No bueno Chris .. The latina lady behind bar I didnt catch her name . Very very rude .. A +++ she definitely was there cherry on top of the cake. All 3 people behind this bar. Are very rude. Who ever is the owner of this place. You are deffently losing money. The Customer service in this business is a plus . This bar is very cool. I Love it . The staff . Wow! But your bartenders are Very very comfortable here ..The place was awesome .. BUT THE 3 PEOPLE THAT ARE WORKING BEHIND BAR. VERY RUDE. .. FOR NO REASON AT ALL. HARD TO UNDERSTAND. ? God bless. Nice place nice environment .. safe place . I give A+++++ ..
