Recently there has been a large fly and gnat problem at this store. Bags of tomatoes filled with hundreds of fruit flies.
Rotisserie chicken warming area had 20-30 house flies on the bags.
The seafood area has also had a rash of flies (3-5 under and behind the glass.)
Even though this store went through a recent “upgrade” the cleanliness is awful. We shopped here since it opened 15+ years ago and unfortunately it has not kept pace. I fear the upgrades are window dressing.
Take a look at the new and other players: H-E-B and Market Street are a much higher quality stores.
When I asked management about the conditions in the store, the reply was that they know about it and are working to resolve it.
Unfortunately I can’t shop here for anything that is made in store or is “fresh” after seeing the quality of these items.
Canned items, yes. Frozen pre packaged, yes, Milk, probably.
I’ll travel 15 minutes further and spend more for quality.
You can do better Kroger. Especially at the 9700 Coit rd. store.
Also, your pictures do not honestly represent your store. Starting with the first picture. That is not the front of the Kroger store at 9700 Coit. What else are you...
Read moreI’m so over Kroger. The last four curbsides I’ve received, have had rotten or spoiled food! 3 had rotten fruits and vegetables. I would never realize until I would get home since it was put in my trunk and I shouldn’t have to go through all my food in the parking lot. I stopped getting those from there. Then my last curbside, I ordered one large thing of sour cream. They gave me two that were smaller. Got home started cooking and opened and it was spoiled. Thank goodness the other was fine since I was in the middle of cooking. Then I ran by the other day and got deluxe Mac and cheese three pack. Last night went to cook….open the cheese and a hard brown glob of rotten cheese fell out. I went and opened another box and opened the cheese, same thing! I threw them both in the sink with the noodles and went to Taco Bell! Super pissed!! I’m so sick of getting bad food here!! Groceries are to damn expensive to have them all be rotten!! Ive complained but they ignore my emails. I didn’t take a lot of the pics because I would just get so mad and slam it into the trash, but here are two. I’m just done! I’ll go to HEB or Walmart...
Read moreI’ve shopped Kroger since the 70’s. I’ve used this location several times with OK results. However, in the last 4or 5 visits I’ve been terribly disappointed. Today I shopped for just a few things for a relative who is post- surgery. It was a convenient time. I only bought a few things for him…some fruit and shrimp…which he likes. The store was not crowded. Everyone I passed looked down at the floor, not meeting my eyes. I was not offered help AT ALL. I bought fresh shrimp that, when I returned home 20 minutes later, was odd smelling and slimy…obviously past it’s due date. The prices were way beyond the most expensive grocers in the city. I know we have a recession problem. However, I shop at several top named grocers, and none were close to the prices that this store was asking. You either have a management problem or an employment problem. The accolades I’ve heard of the Kroger on Independence and Legacy are astonishing. I’ll drive the extra miles to shop there. Please, do your company a favor and look into this situation. I love Kroger and hate to see this situation turn into a...
